Weifang No. 1 Vocational Secondary School was formerly known as Shandong Province Weifang No. 5 Middle School (built in September 1958). In November 1981, the school started vocational and technical education and was named Shandong Province Weifang No. 1 Vocational Middle School.

At the same time, it was branded as Weifang No. 5 Middle School of Shandong Province. In June 1986, with the approval of the Shandong Provincial People's Government, the vocational middle school was changed to a vocational secondary school and named Weifang No. 1 Vocational Secondary School. , with the approval of the Shandong Provincial People's Government, the Weifang Foreign Economic and Trade School was established.
