Look at the category first
The label will definitely indicate the category name of the edible oil, which must be a special name reflecting the real attributes of the food: soybean (3798, -4 1.00,-1.07%) oil, peanut oil, rapeseed oil and blended oil. ....
For example, you may see oil products such as "cooking oil" and "moon oil" on supermarket leaflets, but what oil is it? As long as you look at the labels carefully, you will know that the categories of these oils are actually blended oil, tea oil and linseed oil ... There are many innovative categories in the field of edible oil, and there are also more popular names, but they are all the same, and standardized category names will be marked on the labels.
Second, look at the ingredient list.
The nutritional quality of edible oil essentially depends on raw materials and their proportions.
According to the labeling principle of "reducing food consumption", the ingredients list on the label indicates information such as food raw materials and food additives in turn. The raw material with the largest content comes first, and the raw material with the least content comes last. For example, the ingredient list of peanut oil should only contain peanuts. If the product name is peanut oil but there are other vegetable oils in the ingredient list, such products should belong to blended oil instead of pure peanut oil.
Third, look at the level and technology.
There are also "grade" and "technology" on the label of the oil drum, indicating the different "origin" of each barrel of oil. Edible vegetable oils are generally divided into four grades, such as soybean oil, rapeseed oil, cottonseed oil, rice bran oil, sunflower oil, corn oil (173 1, 2.00, 0. 12%) oil, extracted peanut oil and extracted tea seed oil. Squeeze peanut oil, squeeze tea seed oil, sesame oil, etc. Only first-class and second-class. Generally speaking, primary oil and secondary oil have high refining degree and good quality; Third-and fourth-grade oils are rich in fat and companion organisms and have a good flavor.
Edible oil has two processes: squeezing and leaching, which refers to the preparation of crude oil. There is no difference between them. In order to turn crude oil into refined oil, both must go through refining process. Leaching method accounts for more than 80% of China's oil production capacity. Don't worry too much about squeezing or leaching. As long as it meets the national standards, it is a good oil that can be assured.
Fourth, look at the nutrient composition table.
The nutrient composition table is a box table, which is the most difficult part of labeling. But it is also very useful for buying edible oil. Edible oil products do not contain protein, carbohydrates (sugar) and sodium (salt), so the contents are all marked as 0. The energy and fat contents of different kinds of edible oils are basically the same, but the contents of various fatty acids in fat are different, which is the biggest point in the ingredient list:
At present, many manufacturers have marked the contents of saturated fatty acids, monounsaturated fatty acids and polyunsaturated fatty acids (100g). The less saturated fatty acids, the better. Monounsaturated fatty acids mainly refer to oleic acid, and polyunsaturated fatty acids mainly refer to ω-3 linolenic acid and ω-6 linoleic acid. Each fatty acid has its specific nutritional value. According to the information on the label, you can choose the oil that suits your health and eating habits. In addition, some products are also marked with the contents of oil-related substances beneficial to human health, such as phytosterol and oryzanol, which provide consumers with more sufficient product information.
Five, look at the date
The shelf life of edible oil refers to the quality that can be guaranteed when leaving the factory under the condition of unopened and reasonable storage (dark and high temperature). The shelf life of canned edible vegetable oil is generally 18 months, and the shelf life of corn oil and high oleic acid oil can reach 2 1 to 24 months because they are rich in natural antioxidant vitamin E.
The label will show the place where the production date was printed (bottle shoulder/bottle body/bottle cap), and the digital printing will clearly show that the production date is a few minutes on a certain day of a certain year. During the warranty period, it is best to choose the product closest to the production date. The preservation of edible oil is also very important: keep it in a cool and dry place and keep it sealed from light. If the storage conditions are improper, the "real" shelf life of edible oil will be shortened. Almost all the secrets of cooking oil are written on the label.
