1. Movement components:
(1) Looking at the movement surface
Some important movement components are easy to see on the surface and on the pendulum splint, such as shock absorbers. There are different firms with different grades. Triangle shock absorbers are commonly used in low-grade products, but fake watches are more common. It's better to use INCBLOCK, while high-end watches generally use KIF shock absorbers, such as ROLEX, Vacheron Constantin, Patek Philippe, Audemars Piguet, etc. If you look closely, you will find that even if you use the same movement, the specifications of the shock absorbers are different. For example, OMEGA Omega and Tito TUDOR both use ETA 2892 movement, but TUDOR uses KIF and Omega uses INCBLOCK. High-end watches have high-end traditional practices. Usually, the combination of KIF shock absorber and a worm-type precision adjustment structure (called "Orlister") is the symbol of the movement of high-end watches. At the very least, the fine-tuning mechanism with eccentric screws is used.
(2) Material technology:
In addition, the parts that are easy to see are escapement wheels and escapement forks. The middle and low-grade movements use copper escapement forks, and the surfaces of escapement wheels and escapement forks are not polished. The high-grade movements use steel escapement forks. (Because of the low specific gravity of steel) The surfaces of escapement wheels and escapement forks are polished, and the steel parts are polished. It is a major feature of the high-low watch movements that the movement splint is decorated and ground.
balance wheel: the balance wheel of a high-grade watch is definitely gold, but in fact, the balance wheel is made of different materials. Generally, zinc-copper alloy (German silver) is used for watches, and beryllium alloy (BE) is an aviation material, which is light and hard, mainly because the temperature line expansion changes little, which can ensure the accuracy of watches.
high-end watches have the Geneva logo (12 requirements).
color of movement surface:
Common movements made in mainland China (including quartz watches) are ETA and Ronda, and Japanese (MIYOTA) is Citizen. Generally, SWISS PARTS are engraved on the movement splint, which is generally a movement assembled in the Far East (Thailand), while most movements plated with gold are native.
(3) Logo of movement splint:
In the past, many watches were made of their own movements, such as Jaeger-LeCoultre, Movado, OMEGA Omega, Ingenicar, LONGINES, etc., which were called "all-round watch factories", but now in order to control costs, they are buying movements, mainly using Swiss ETA movements. (There used to be many movement factories in Switzerland, such AS ST, As, FHF and F, but now they are almost gone. )
RONDA (quartz watch) was almost used, and everyone used ETA. In order to distinguish it, the automatic watch was mainly engraved with its own logo. Because the automatic watch is a metal with a relatively large proportion, it can't be stamped and engraved. The quartz watch printed its own watch tag on the circuit board, and Cartier also used ETA, but it has its own special splint.
In addition, the mechanical watch is located at the balance wheel position of the main splint of the movement.
every watch has its own label, so it can be seen by saving a watch in another machine.
in addition, there are some big watches with famous brands, and ETA movements are also used, but they are usually finely processed (polished). Another feature is to name the movement number by yourself, such as Longines, Radar and Ingrid (for example, Ingrid ETA 2671, the movement bottom plate is engraved with "AR 77", which once had an announcement, if there is no AR on the movement bottom plate, it is a fake watch! )
2. Look at the label
Some watches have magic labels on the back cover: for example, ROLEX, the fake watch is a piece of green paper, which has no magic effect. The early TITONI of plum blossom also made a good job of magic labels on the back cover.
3. Look at the subtle places:
The so-called subtle places are mainly the dial, and the craftsmanship of the watch hands can best explain the problem. The hands of fake watches are rarely done well, such as the hanging of the needle flag, uneven needles, poor brightness and unclear edges and corners of the needles. Like ROLEX, the tail of the second hand is circular, while the fake watch is flat, while the tail of some quartz watches is thickened for balance.
Look at the watch board, English logo and scale again. Printing like ROLEX is unique, the paint is bright and the printing is high. Fake watches can't do this. It is often seen that some fake watches, such as ROLEX and PIAGET, are not only printed vaguely, but also cannot be completely covered. The dial of a famous watch can't be faked realistically, and ROLEX's computer disk technology is complicated, so it is difficult to make it real.
4. Look at the surface glass
At present, the production level of surface glass is very high. Generally, fake watches are similar to real watches, but some brands of watches are marked on the glass, like the early OMEGA and Rome. Now ROLEX is also marked at 6 o'clock in the glass, which is a small line of ROLEX English letters.
a Sapphire glass of ROLEX was bought in Shenzhen factory only in 2 yuan, while the original one was about 15 yuan. The glass is all sapphire, and there is little difference in appearance. (It's really slightly blue. But the nylon sealing ring is not the same.
The glass materials are: early plastic (organic), mineral and sapphire. Sapphire glass is widely used now. In the past, Sapphire was specially marked, and fake watches could be covered with Sapphire sapphire instead of ordinary glass. This can be checked with a refractometer. The refractive index of sapphire is 1.76-1.77, while that of glass is 1.52.
5. Look at the number identification:
Appearance:
Generally, watches have case model and movement model, and high-end watches should also have the production serial number, movement production serial number and strap number. These marks are printed on the inside and outside of the back cover of the watch. In addition, some watches also have numbers on the inside and outside of the strap ear protectors.
whether the fake watch is marked or not, it is also marked. However, pay attention to the observation that the mark of the fake watch is relatively shallow, some are obliquely engraved, some are of the wrong size, or do not conform to the coding law of the watch or the number of digits is too long. (ROLEX and TUDOR production serial numbers start with a letter and add 6 digits, while OMEGA and RADO are both 8 digits. The fake radar was found to have 13 digits, and it was stamped on the back cover, which means that thousands of watches may be a number.
the number of each watch also has its meaning, not scribbled. For example, Rolex 16233: 16 is an automatic calendar watch for men, and 18 is an automatic double calendar watch for men. The mantissa of 3 is gold plus refined steel, the mantissa of 8 is gold watch, the mantissa of 4 is all steel+platinum ring, the mantissa of is stainless steel shell belt and so on. And many fake watches are scribbled. Real watches are each numbered independently.
movement
Some imitations of OMEGA Omega are very good, and the ETA 2892 movement is the same as the real one, but the lettering of the automatic tuo is very strange, like laser engraving. The mark of the main splint was deliberately milled away, and there was no letter of the movement.
about Japanese watches. According to the information of CITIZEN in Japan, it is noted that all the automatic movements are engraved with MIYOTA instead of Citizen. MIYOTA is an export movement of Citizen, and there is no gold-plated splint.
Many fake watches are put into imitation new cases with old movements. After many repairs, the surface parts and splints of these movements are slightly scratched, and the specifications of the screws are not uniform. The most easy to find is the flange and extrusion of the notches of the screws.
VI. Look at the icon imprint
Look at the chart imprint, which is mainly the K gold and the color table. Fake watches usually make vague and shallow marks, and even they don't overlap after repeated stamping. Real watches are really deep and clear. Marks are usually played on the inside and outside of the back cover, the claw and the strap, and the leather strap is played on the ring buckle.
using a gold-plated case or a stainless steel case as a K-gold case, it can only type 18K, but it can't type the icon, so you can feel the difference in proportion by hand. The back cover of fake watches is deliberately made thick, and even lead blocks are added to the back cover. Although stainless steel is a weak magnetic material, it will also be attracted by a strong magnetic field. Hang the watch with a rope and use aluminum, iron and boron to absorb it.
if it is a gold-plated case with a thickness of more than 1 microns, it must also have a digital label. Such as G1, PL1 PLATED1. For example, OMEGA Omega has a gold plating of 2 microns, and the claw of the watch case is marked with a gold plating of 2 microns or less, which can only be regarded as a low gear watch.
VII. Looking at diamonds and inlay technology
The dial of fake watches is made of rhinestones and artificial zircon. Or even if natural diamonds are used, the mosaic is uneven, uneven in size, large or small in diameter and broken. High-end watches generally do not use rhinestones, because precious metals and gems can be used to show high-end.
VIII. Look at the hidden places:
For professional identification, it is necessary to disassemble the appearance and inspect the movement components, such as the most unsightly places: the nail, sleeve and strap section of the strap. Because even the smartest counterfeiters don't do these places, these parts are obviously different from the original watches.
For example, Rolex 16238, the watchcase and strap are all made of 18K gold. The fake watch can be made the same as the real watch, but the weight is only 2g less. Why? The strap section technology is different. It also includes the most common 16233, and so on. Rolex's K-gold front ring has a crown, which can only be seen when it is removed. Fake watches don't.
the band spring of the watch (the band spring is the elastic connector) connects the elastic bolt of the watch case and the watch band. The spring of a fake watch is generally purchased, so it is different from the real watch. Typical is ROLEX Rolex watch. Take the watch and look here first, and you will basically know about it. Besides, the strap springs of radar and OMEGA are specially made, and the fake ones are quite different.
In addition, there are great differences between the handle tube of genuine watch and fake watch, and the installation process is also different. If it is a K-gold watch, the handle and head tube are also gold, while a fake watch may be steel-colored and generally has no internal teeth. This can be seen by pulling out the watch handle.
