How to conduct a Chinese trademark similarity search

When registering a trademark, we must first conduct a trademark search so that it cannot conflict with other trademarks. The characteristics of similar trademarks are mainly reflected in the following points:

(1) Trademarks with the same meaning will be judged as similar trademarks. For example: "rose" and "rose flower" both represent a certain fixed variety of flowers, so they are similar trademarks.

(2) Words with similar glyphs will also be judged as similar trademarks. For example, "Demon King" and "Demon Jade", "Wang" and "Jade" have similar glyphs, and they will also be judged as similar.

(3) If the pronunciation is the same or similar and the glyph or overall appearance is similar, it will be judged as similar. However, exceptions are made if the glyphs are different or have different meanings.

(4) The trademark is composed of overlapping new words (such as "星" and "星"), or modified words are added to the original trademark (such as "fly" and "新飞飞"), is judged as approximate. However, if the meaning or overall appearance is different, it will not be judged as similar.

(5) If the Chinese characters are the same but only the font, order, and design are different, they will also be judged as similar trademarks.

(6) It consists of three or more Chinese characters, and only individual characters are different. If the trademark as a whole has no meaning or the difference is not obvious, it will be judged as a similar trademark. However, if the pronunciation or font of the first letter of the trademark is obviously different or the overall meaning is different, exceptions will be made where the trademark can be clearly distinguished.
