EU trademark registration process?
1. The applicant submits a trademark application to the Market Coordination Bureau of any EU member state, and the Market Coordination Bureau will accept the qualified trademark application and give the application date and application number.
2. Then, the authorities will conduct a prior trademark search and submit an application for prior trademark search to all member States, and all member States of the European Union will submit the search report to the Internal Market Coordination Bureau within three months;
3. After receiving the search reports from various countries, the authorities will provide the search reports of the Bureau to the applicants for reference.
4. Subsequently, the Market Coordination Bureau will initially accept the application for trademark registration and make an announcement. However, within 3 months from the date of applying for trademark announcement, it is the trademark objection period. During this period, any natural person in all EU member States has the right to object to the trademark. After the end of the objection period, if the trademark has no objection or the objection is not established, the trademark shall be registered. In addition, it should be noted that there is no substantive examination stage for EU registered trademarks.
5. After the registration of the trademark, the authorities will notify the applicant to pay the fee and issue the EU trademark certificate, thus completing the registration of the EU trademark.
