Distribution of Tussah Silk Origin
Tussah silk is spun from tussah cocoon. Tussah, commonly known as wild silkworm, mainly lives in the northern region. It is artificially stocked in wild tussah forest and feeds on tussah leaves.
Tussah silk is mainly produced in Henan, Liaoning, Shandong and other places in the north. Liaoning is the main producing area of tussah silk quilt, and nanzhao county, Henan Province is named as the "hometown of tussah" in China, and has passed the "unified tussah" origin registration certification of AQSIQ.
