1. Differences in leaves
The leaves of European plum are oval or obovate, about 5 to 12 cm long. The leaf tip becomes sharp rapidly, the leaf base is round or slightly wedge-shaped, the leaf margin has sharp double serrations, and the leaf back veins and petiole are pubescent. Cherry leaves are oval or oval in shape and about 7 to 12 cm long. The leaves are pointed at the top and rounded at the bottom. The edges of the leaves have double serrations of different sizes. The leaf surface is hairless or slightly hairy, and the back side is sparsely pubescent.
2. Flower differences
The flowers of cherry blossoms are white or light pink, 2 to 3 cm in diameter, and usually single. The flowers are slightly fragrant and usually have 3 to 6 flowers arranged in short racemes. The cherry blossoms are white and 1.5 to 2.5 cm in diameter. The calyx tube of the flower has fine hairs, and usually 3 to 6 flowers are clustered into racemes.
3. Fruit differences
Sakura stone fruit is nearly spherical and black. The fruit of the cherry tree is nearly spherical, 1 to 1.5 cm in diameter, and red in color.
