If a registered trademark is transferred or sold, the transferor and the transferee shall sign a transfer agreement and submit an application to the Trademark Office at the same time. The transferee shall ensure the quality of the goods using the registered trademark. When transferring a registered trademark, the trademark registrant shall transfer all similar trademarks registered on the same goods, or identical or similar trademarks registered on similar goods.

1. Trademark auction. The auction acquisition of trademark rights is a required legal act. The subject who acquires trademark rights at auction must perform the approval, registration and other procedures stipulated by law; the auction of registered trademarks must be conducted on all trademarks registered on the same or similar goods owned by the party being executed. Identical or similar trademarks will be auctioned together, and different categories of goods using the same registered trademark (each category of goods constitutes an independent trademark right). Auctions can be split by category of goods.

2. Selling trademarks through industry contacts. The buyer's understanding of the name and meaning of the trademark will affect the transaction price of the trademark. Therefore, in this trading channel, the bid holder understands what kind of trademark the company needs and offers a targeted transaction price.

3. Trademark trading website for sale. The huge potential and extremely considerable profits of the trademark transfer market have given rise to a variety of trademark trading platforms. This is also a method that trademark holders are happy to choose now: they do not need to find a trademark buyer themselves, and the trademark valuation and subsequent trademark transfer procedures can also be handled on the trading platform. However, choosing a reputable trademark trading platform requires sellers to keep their eyes peeled and conduct extensive inspections.

Trademark transfer and sale must be handled at the Trademark Office. The process includes: application → acceptance → review → announcement → issuance of transfer certificate.

1. The buyer and the seller sign the "Trademark Transfer Contract/Agreement".

2. The trademark holder handles trademark notarization, which is usually completed within 3-5 working days, and obtains the "Trademark Declaration Notarization Certificate".

3. Submit the prepared materials and notarial certificate to the Trademark Office, and then pay the transfer fee.

4. The Trademark Office will issue the acceptance letter in about 1-2 months and start the review.

5. The Trademark Office will publish an announcement about 5-8 months after accepting the application and issue a "Certificate of Approval of Transfer of Registered Trademark" to both parties.
