Sunlight Rock
Sunlight Rock is commonly known as "Yanzai Mountain" or "Huangyan". According to legend, in 1641, Zheng Chenggong came to Huangyan and saw that the scenery here was better than the Japanese Sunlight Mountain, so he took the word "Huangyan" apart and called it "Sunlight Rock". Sunlight Rock Tourist Area consists of Sunlight Rock and Qinyuan. Sunlight Rock stands in the south-central part of Gulangyu Island, which is made up of two huge stones, one vertical and the other horizontal, and becomes the peak of Longtou Mountain, with an altitude of 92.7 meters, which is the highest peak of Gulangyu Island.

the stone walls on both sides of the ancient summer cave support granite boulders falling from the sky, giving people the feeling that Mount Tai is the top of the mountain, which is very steep. The words "Ancient Summer Cave" were inscribed by Shi Shijie, a scholar in Taiwan Province in the late Qing Dynasty. The caves are bright, dry and airy. Go through the ancient summer cave and turn left. There is a small and graceful pavilion, which holds up a thin waist and uses rocks as a balcony. It is called an "umbrella pavilion" for tourists to shelter from the sun and rain.
Gulangyu Cave
Sunlight Rock is famous for its scenic spots in all directions, and has always attracted many literati. Gulangyu Inscriptions intoxicated them with the wind and waves, and left many precious handwriting. Walking through the gate of Sunlight Rock Temple, you can look up to a huge cliff. The inscription on the cliff-"Gulangyong Cave" made a wonderful summary of the fairyland-like scenery of Sunlight Rock, which was written by Ding Yizhong in the first year of Wanli in Ming Dynasty. "Lujiang first" points out that Sunlight Rock is the first scenic spot in Xiamen, which was written by Lin Zhen in the first year of Daoguang in Qing Dynasty. "Tianfeng Haitao" just points out the characteristics of Sunguangyan, which was written by Xu Shiying in the fourth year of the Republic of China.
