Can the Industrial and Commercial Bureau handle trademark registration?

The Industrial and Commercial Bureau does not directly accept trademarks (it would be illegal to do so). When the system was transferred in the 1970s and 1980s, the local Industrial and Commercial Bureau accepted the trademarks. In the 1990s, trademark offices and trademark agency companies have been established in all provinces, entering the era of agency system. Now the Industrial and Commercial Bureau only provides supervision and management. Personal registration requires: 1. Copy of individual industrial and commercial household license; 2. Copy of applicant’s ID card; 3. Trademark pattern. Enterprise registration requires: 1. Copy of business license; 2. Trademark pattern. The registration time starts from about January 2010, and it takes about 1-2 years from acceptance to approval, and the fee is about 1,800 yuan. In the past few years, the registration time was very long, and it took about 2-4 years to be approved.
