What information does an individual need to apply for trademark registration?
A natural person (individual) applying for trademark registration shall submit the following materials:

(1) A copy of the applicant's ID card and the registration documents issued by the relevant administrative organs (such as the business license of individual industrial and commercial households, rural land contract, etc.). Passport holders need a copy of their passports.

(2) Fill in the Application for Trademark Registration (with a fixed format) and sign at the designated place.

(3) There are six black-and-white patterns of trademarks, with clear patterns and specifications ranging from 5x5cm to 10x 10cm. If the color is specified, submit 6 color patterns with 1 black and white pattern.

(4) Individual industrial and commercial households can apply for a registered trademark in the name of the Business License for Individual Industrial and Commercial Households.

(5) The scope of goods and services for which a natural person applies for trademark registration is limited to the business scope approved by the natural person in the business license or relevant registration documents, or the self-operated agricultural and sideline products.

Trademark application procedures:

1. Ask about the trademark first. If there is no identical or similar trademark in advance, you can make application documents and submit the application.

2. About 1 month after the application is submitted, the Trademark Office will issue an application acceptance notice (this period is called the formal examination stage).

3. After the formal review is completed, it will take about 1 year to 1 year and a half to enter the substantive review stage.

4. Those who pass the substantive examination shall enter the announcement procedure (this period is 3 months, also called the objection period);

5. After the expiration of the announcement, if there is no objection, you can get the registration certificate.
