The six stars on this cluster can be seen when looking up at the sky. Since Fuji Heavy Industries was formed by the merger of six companies, it adopted the "six consecutive stars" pattern as its trademark, symbolizing the close unity and joint and enterprising spirit among the companies. Fuji Aircraft Research Institute was founded in Tokyo in 1917, and Fuji Heavy Industries was established in 1953.
