The China Open is a comprehensive tennis event for men and women held annually in China since 2004 approved by the International Tennis Association. The China Open is second only to the four Grand Slams in terms of overall level. It is also known as the "Four Super Events" along with the Indian Wells Masters, Miami Masters and Madrid Masters. The 2019 China Tennis Open will be held from September 22 to October 6, 2019.

The China Open is the only high-level tennis event held regularly in Beijing. It is the only domestic tennis event named after a country officially approved by the State Sports General Administration. It also has the International Men's Professional Tennis Association (ATP) It is the only international comprehensive tennis event in Asia with the most comprehensive settings, the largest number of participating players, and the highest total prize money.
