Partial rejection of a trademark, one of the results of the Trademark Office’s review of a registration application, means that when the reason for rejection only involves some designated goods or services, the trademark registration application on these goods or services can be rejected. Applications for trademark registration used on other designated goods will be initially reviewed and announced. Partial rejections are imposed on goods. When a trademark registration application specifies multiple products, in theory, the trademark application can be divided into multiple product registration applications for each designated product. Therefore, the application for registration of the trademark on the designated goods is rejected, but the application for registration of the trademark on other designated goods is approved.
