In order to protect the Zhen’an chestnut brand, the Chestnut Industry Office of Zhen’an County Forestry Bureau applied to register the “Zhen’an” chestnut trademark in 2006. An organic chestnut base of 30,000 acres was established in Jiezi, Qingtong, and Chaiping. In 2005, it obtained the certification license from the Yangling Organic Food Certification Center of Northwest A&F University, making Zhenan Chestnut the first to enter the national chestnut organic food ranks. In 2010, multiple efforts were made to implement origin protection measures for Zhen'an chestnuts and establish an origin protection base of more than 200,000 acres, truly protecting the Zhen'an chestnut brand.
