Yibin wine, a specialty of Yibin City, Sichuan Province, is a national geographical indication product of China. Yibin is the hometown of liquor, with a brewing history of more than 4,000 years. It is the most suitable region at the same latitude on the earth for brewing high-quality pure distilled liquor. For thousands of years, Yibin has spawned a cluster of liquor companies with its superior wine-making environment, unique production technology, gathering the aura of the Yangtze River, Minjiang River, and Jinsha River, and extracting the essence of five grains. Yibin wine is clear and transparent, with a multi-grain compound aroma mainly composed of ethyl hexanoate. The wine is mellow and full-bodied, sweet and smooth, with a refreshing and clean aftertaste and a comprehensive wine taste. On December 14, 2010, the former General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine approved the implementation of geographical indication product protection for "Yibin Wine".
