Fairy liquor, produced in Shanghai, is a Luzhou-flavor liquor produced by Fairy Distillery founded by 1958. It is made of sorghum as raw material, traditional Daqu as saccharifying starter, mixed steaming with distiller's grains, solid-state fermentation in cellar, traditional technology, high quality and good price, aging and careful blending with modern technology. The obtained wine has clear and transparent body, strong cellar aroma, soft and sweet taste, long aftertaste and unique style. Shenxian brand trademark has been awarded the titles of "Shanghai Famous Trademark", "Shanghai Famous Brand Product", "City Excellent, Ministry Excellent", "National Quality Standard Food" and "China Famous Wine" for many times.

Shanghai Laojiao 1608 is an eight-year-old Luzhou-flavor liquor produced by Shanghai Shenxian Distillery, with sorghum, wheat, corn, rice and water as raw materials.

Qibao Daqu, Luzhou-flavor liquor, Shanghai Qibao Distillery, which mixed the skills of various schools, from sauce flavor to fragrance, and then to strong flavor, was quite characteristic of Shanghai style. Using sorghum as raw material and Daqu made of barley and wheat as saccharifying starter, it is made by cooking raw materials, fermenting at low temperature, distilling at constant temperature, taking wine by quality, aging and scientific blending. The wine has the characteristics of harmonious flavor, soft taste, sweet and refreshing taste and long aftertaste. It was rated as a high-quality product in Shanghai.

In recent years, Qibao Wine Shop in Qibao Street is full of jars, and "Qibao Old Wine" is brewed by local methods. While brewing and selling, the wine is full of fragrance, attracting a large number of tourists and becoming a beautiful landscape. Qibao has high alcohol content, thick mouth, clear mouth and long sweetness.

Fairy Daqu, Luzhou-flavor liquor, is produced by Shanghai Fairy Distillery. It is made of water, sorghum, rice and wheat as raw materials, steamed with distiller's grains and fermented in solid state in the cellar. The obtained liquor has the characteristics of clarity and transparency, strong cellar aroma, harmonious aroma, sweet taste and long aftertaste.

In 1980s and 1990s, there were some famous brands in Shanghai, such as Jiangnan Touqu (Ship Brand, Shanghai Jiangnan Winery), Shanghai Teye (Ship Brand, Shanghai Jiangnan Winery), Teqibao Daqu (Guqiao, Shanghai Qibao Winery), Shenxian Daqu (Shenxian Brand, Shanghai Fengxian County Situan Winery) and so on. As Shanghai becomes a prosperous international trade city, there are more foreign wines.
