When He Zi came yesterday, he went up to the third floor and asked him how he felt. He said he was slightly out of breath, but nothing else.
The next day we plan to go to Yanghu Lake, because Yanghu Lake is the closest natural attraction to Lhasa. Yanghu is the abbreviation of Yangzhuoyongcuo, one of the three holy lakes in Tibet. Langkazi County is located in the Shannan region of Tibet, about 100 kilometers southwest of Lhasa.
The night before, I repeatedly checked whether He Zi was okay? He said yes, yes! Does your body feel okay? He said yes, yes! Just after getting off the plane, do you want to rest for a day to get used to it before going? Are you sure your body can do it? He said yes, yes! More than four thousand meters, is it really possible? He said yes, yes! Can you breed the female donkey from Widow Wang’s house next door? He said yes, yes! He immediately came back to his senses and said, "Sleep in! You can do this!"
It seems that I am not completely stupid.
Lao Niu settled the two of us in the evening and went to sleep in a colleague’s dormitory. I was repeatedly told not to take a shower for the first three days.
After getting up at around 6 a.m., the three of us went to the bun shop across the road to have breakfast. The steamed bun shop is not big, but the business is very good, and the supply of steamed buns stuffed with beef sometimes exceeds the demand. Most of Lao Niu's colleagues also come here to have breakfast and say hello to Lao Niu from time to time.
To get to Yanghu Lake, you need to go southwest, pass through downtown Lhasa, get on the Airport Expressway, and pass through the Qushui Bridge. On the left is the Gonggar Airport, and on the right is the road to Yanghu Lake. On the road, you can see the wild and unruly Brahmaputra River, swimming on the river bed without any scruples. The Brahmaputra River, the "water left on the mountains", spreads all the way here, becoming simple and unpretentious, but still magnificent!
In Tibet, highways are truly free, unlike Hainan where tolls are disguised and are added to the fuel cost. "Lalin Highway" is the section of road from Lhasa, known as the "Sunshine City", to Linzhi, known as the "Snowy Little Jiangnan". The state invested 38 billion yuan in this highway, which took four years to complete. It is a project of the state to support the development of Tibet.
? Friends who like to drive by themselves will usually choose this road as the route to Tibet. The process of gradual change from low altitude to high altitude can better adapt to the plateau. Many people say this road is the "most beautiful road". But rather than saying it is a highway, the name "high-grade highway" may be more suitable for it. Unlike those completely closed highways, many ramps on the Qinghai-Tibet Highway are open and can be entered and exited freely.
? This highway is about 400 kilometers long and is designed as a two-way four-lane. Since it is not a fully closed highway, its design speed cannot be too high, only 80 kilometers per hour. There are 220 bridges and 20 tunnels on the entire highway. The length of the bridges and tunnels alone accounts for about a quarter of the total length of the line. The construction of this highway has shortened the journey from Lhasa to Nyingchi from the previous 8 hours. to about 5 hours.
The Lalin Highway was constructed using first-class highway technical standards, and has been included in the Sichuan-Tibet Expressway in the national highway network in relevant national road network planning documents. Since the Lalin Highway is still a cut-off highway, and the national transportation department has not yet determined its road number in practice, the Lalin Highway has not been officially incorporated into the highway network. Before the traffic control department labeled Lalin Highway, it was more scientific to call Lalin Highway a "high-grade highway."
After more than an hour of running around, we passed Qushui County and arrived at the foot of Gangbala Mountain. There are some Tibetans holding lion-like Tibetan mastiffs, waiting for tourists to take photos. These Tibetan Mastiffs have lost their wild nature and are just superficial. Otherwise, how could they let a stranger get so close! Some of them are squatting on the ground; some are squatting on tables, with a chair next to them for tourists to take photos with; some are wearing large yellow-orange "gold necklaces"; some are wearing black sunglasses; Wearing gold chains and sunglasses, he looks like a "dog" from a rich man's family. Tibetans really want to do our business and have been trying to get close to us. Even if you don’t take photos like this, you can’t tell what it feels like.
After a short rest, we started to head towards the top of Gangbala Mountain at an altitude of 5030 meters. The mountain road is rugged and winding with nine twists and turns, which makes people dizzy just looking at it.
Lao Niu is a genuine veteran driver who has been through the "no man's land". His face is not red, his heart is not beating, he is as steady as a rock, and he rides the best.
Reaching 4280 meters, there were many cars parked here, and we finally found a place to stop. There is a viewing platform here, and you can see the "Yajiang River Valley" in the distance. There are also Tibetan mastiffs posing for photos on the observation deck, and a snow-white lamb, which is particularly cute in my arms.
? At Gangbala Pass, the wind is very strong, the prayer flags are swaying in the wind, listen to the pure echo in the sky! After crossing the mountain pass, a lake of jasper came into view.
Looking at you, I was silent for a moment;
You are watching here alone,
Silent as a virgin, time has stopped;
Your shy smile,
is like the spring tide on a girl’s face;
Drunken eyes,
Which one is you?
The phantom beauty of jasper is extremely deep blue;
It’s like a dream, floating around;
It’s hard to see through it,
Just like the holiness and flawlessness of a fairy,
transformed into a mystery!
