How to identify fake imported wine? There is a very simple way, that is to carefully look at the bar code on the label of the imported wine bottle. From the barcode of each product, you can see the country of production, manufacturer, product name, etc.
Take the barcode 692 11685 1128 0 as an example:
This barcode is divided into 4 parts, from left to right:
Digits 1-3 : ***3 digits, corresponding to 692 in the barcode, is one of the country codes of China. (690-695 are all Chinese codes, assigned internationally)
Digits 4-8: ***5 digits, corresponding to 11685 of the barcode, which represents the manufacturer code. If the manufacturer applies, it will be allocated by the country ;
Digits 9-12: ***4 digits, corresponding to 1128 in the barcode, which represents the product code in the factory and is determined by the manufacturer;
Digit 13: *** 1 digit, the 0 of the corresponding barcode is the check code, which is calculated from the previous 12 digits according to a certain algorithm.
Common imported wine barcode country codes:

If the barcode on the Chinese label is It starts with "69", but it is still sold under the banner of imported wine, which means that this so-called imported wine must be fake.
You can also look at the cork after opening it. Usually it has the name of the winery on it.
Also, if the imported red wine does not have a Chinese back label, it is either smuggled or fake. Because when entering Chinese customs, you must have a back label in Chinese. These are all added in France, but some red wines from Hong Kong do not have them and use English back labels.
Hope it can help you.
