1. Drug common name
: International nonproprietary drug name (INN), recommended by the World Health Organization, and the name used in the "Chinese Pharmacopoeia" is also a common name;

The common name of a drug usually refers to the active drug substance, not the final drug. It is the only name used by pharmaceutical researchers and medical personnel;
A drug has only one common name. During the application process for new drugs, it was submitted to WHO that they are not protected by patents and cannot be the same as existing names or similar to trade names;
"Chinese Common Drug Names (CADN)" is the basis for naming Chinese drugs.

Chemical name
: A name that accurately describes the chemical structure of a drug;
According to the International Society of Pure and Applied Chemistry, Principles of Chinese Chemical Society and American Chemistry;
Basic principles of naming: select a specific part as the parent, specify the arrangement of the parent, and other parts as substituents; chiral compounds specify the stereoconfiguration or Geometric configuration.
3. Alias
: Trade name is also called brand name;
A drug is often produced by multiple manufacturers, and the same drug can have multiple trade names. ;
Trade names can be registered and applied for patent protection just like trademarks;
Principles for selecting trade names: they must not imply the efficacy and use of the drug.
