The origin of Hongta Mountain

The Yuxi Cigarette Factory of Hongta Group is backed by a mountain. There is a white pagoda on the mountain. This mountain is also known for its white color. The tower is named Baita Mountain. In the 1950s, people flocked to the mountain and painted the White Pagoda with red oil paint, turning it into a Red Pagoda. From then on, the White Pagoda was renamed Hongta, and the mountain was also renamed Hongta Mountain.

In 1959, as a gift for the 10th anniversary of the National Day, the factory decided to produce a high-quality, high-end cigarette and mobilized all employees of the factory to develop it on their own. The evolution of the tower triggered the inspiration of several young people such as She Zicheng and Ye Zuwang.
