Formal review: After the application is submitted, a formal review will be conducted on the submitted application documents and trademark standard samples; if the requirements are met, an application date and application number will be awarded.
2. Substantive examination: According to Canadian law, whether the trademark is registrable, whether it is the same or similar to a previously registered or applied trademark, and whether it violates the prohibition provisions of the Trademark Law.
3. Announcement: If the examiner deems the trademark application acceptable after review, an announcement will be made on the Canadian Official Trademark Announcement. The objection period is two months from the date of announcement.
4. After the above procedures, if there is no objection, the Trademark Office will issue a permission notice.
5. Approval of registration: issue registration certificate. Applicants must pay registration fees before a Canadian trademark registration certificate is issued.
