Husband and wife’s beef slices are a traditional dish in Sichuan.
According to legend, in the 1930s, Chengdu native Guo Chaohua and his wife made a living selling cold beef lung slices on the streets. Because of their good selection of ingredients and careful production, they were very popular in the local area.
Later, a small shop was opened. Because it was run by a husband and wife, people gave them the name "Husband and Wife Fei Pian", which represented the beautiful meaning of sharing the joys and sorrows.
