How to distinguish between hot stamping and pad printing

Sorry, I had to eat at noon, so I didn’t know how to make a "cai" in an emergency. Maybe it's a "guess". No one stipulates that hot stamping and pad printing must be done on curved surfaces. It can also be done on flat surfaces. Distinguishing method: 1. If there are traces of being heated on the edge of the printed area or pattern on the plastic surface, it must be hot stamping. See it with your eyes or feel it with your hands. It should be noted that the hot stamping edge is different from the "batch edge" caused by the mold insert. The hot stamping edge is irregular and not sharp. 2. Most of the hot stamping characters (or patterns) are shiny. This has to do with materials. 3. If there are sporadic small pieces of paper left, it must be hot stamping. If you can see ink dots under a magnifying glass, it must be pad printing. 4. There is another important method: wipe it with boiling oil and water. The hot stamping material is metal and cannot be wiped off. Pad printing uses paint, which can be wiped off. Hot stamping and pad printing are nothing more than appearance decoration, focusing on the effect. If pad printing can meet the requirements, use pad printing because the cost of pad printing is lower than hot stamping. As for the steps mentioned above, I don’t think there must be a step of 0.3~0.5. Mainly look at the edges of the words. The identification method mainly refers to points 1 and 4 above. The above opinions are for reference only. [] View original post>>
