Vermilion oranges are picked at Wulongxi Scenic Area in Yangqiao Town, Yixiu District, Anqing City

The autumn mood is getting stronger, and the oranges are getting more fragrant. Yuwan Village is located in the northern suburbs of Anqing City. Citrus is the traditional dominant industry of Yuwan Village. It has a history of more than 200 years. The citrus planting area here is about 1,200 acres, and the annual output reaches 3 million kilograms. Over the years, Yangqiao vermilion oranges have not only been favored by consumers for their excellent appearance and pure taste, but more importantly, they have promoted local economic development and become an important source of economic income for fruit farmers. In 2016, "Yangqiao Vermilion Orange" was successfully registered as a national geographical indication certification trademark, and was later recognized as a national poverty alleviation product. The recognized poverty alleviation products were also included in the fourth-party service platform of the China Social Poverty Alleviation Network's consumption poverty alleviation action. The theme of this Yangqiao Vermilion Orange Agriculture Cultural Festival is "Rural Revitalization and Poverty Alleviation", with vermilion oranges as the starting point to expand geographical visibility, build the Yuwan brand, increase farmers' income, and promote rural revitalization.
