Nenjian in Kyoto has a history of about 297-357 years.
The origin of the Kyoto Nianjian brand is said to be during the Kangxi period of the Qing Dynasty. The specific year is unknown. Kangxi was the fourth emperor of the Qing Dynasty, and his reign was from 1662 to 1722. There are 297-357 times so far.
The story of Nianji'an in Kyoto took place during the Kangxi period, so its history should be between 297 and 357.
The story of Nianci'an in Kyoto is that during the Kangxi period of the Qing Dynasty, the county magistrate Yang Jin was called "Yang Xiaolian" because he was filial to his mother. He lost his father when he was young, and his mother suffered from weak lungs and a cough due to long-term hard work, which could not be cured.
The filial son Yang Xiaolian was very anxious and went around looking for famous doctors to treat his mother's illness. Finally, he got a prescription of honey-flavored Sichuan clam loquat plaster from the miracle doctor Ye Tianshi, which cured his mother's illness.
Later, Mrs. Yang passed away at the age of eighty-four. Before her death, she asked Yang Xiaolian to make honey and Sichuan clam loquat ointment to benefit the world.
In order to commemorate the kindness of his mother and Ye Tianshi, Yang Xiaolian made an ointment in the name of "Nianci'an" and distributed it. Following the secret recipe, he used more than ten kinds of precious medicinal materials to refine Chuanbei loquat ointment and painted it. The "Picture of Filial Piety" trademark was published to urge future generations not to lose the traditional virtue of filial piety to their parents.
Nianji'an Chuanbei Loquat Cream has been well received by the public since its launch. For this reason, the descendants of the Yang family set up a factory in Beijing for production, and added the word "Kyoto" in front of "Nianji'an". This is named "Kyoto Nenjian Honey Refined Sichuan Shell Loquat Paste".
Extended information:
In modern times, the descendants of Yang Xiaolian participated in the "reform reform" of Liang Qichao, Tan Sitong and others. After the failure, they were persecuted by the Qing government and exiled to Kyoto, Japan, where they founded The workshop refines Chuanbei Pipa ointment to fulfill the ancestors' purpose of benefiting the world. ?
After that, he returned to China and set up factories in Beijing and Guangzhou for production. After the outbreak of the Anti-Japanese War, the Yang family moved south and then to Hong Kong.
The descendants of the Yang family are not familiar with southern customs and port laws due to "Northerners migrating southward". They also plan to immigrate to Brazil. They are afraid that the wonderful recipe of "Kingto Nianji'an Chuanbei Loquat Paste" will be shelved in the cabinet, which is a pity.
So Mr. Xie Zhaobang was solemnly entrusted to make sure that the ointment circulated continuously. Mr. Xie Zhaobang adhered to Yang's intention and established Kyoto Nianjian General Factory Co., Ltd. in Hong Kong in 1946 to continue to use orthodox medicine. To benefit the world, he also published the original recipe along with the medicine, and did not dare to hide his secrets.
Through Mr. Xie’s many years of honest management, Kyoto Ninjian enjoys an outstanding reputation all over the world.
