The difference between TM and R
Difference 1: Different use time: before the trademark we use becomes a registered trademark, it can be marked with "TM". When a trademark becomes a registered trademark, it can be marked with "R" or the "note" registration mark in the upper right corner or lower right corner, or it can be directly marked as a "registered trademark". TM was used earlier than R.
Difference 2: Different values: TM is a general trademark use without trademark protection; while the registered trademark R is content rich in product knowledge and brand intrinsic value that has been accumulated over a long period of use. , has deep influence and dissemination power. After obtaining the registered trademark certificate, the trademark user enjoys exclusive rights, and the enterprise can establish its brand and promote the enterprise through the trademark. The value of the R trademark is greater than that of the TM trademark.
Difference 3: Different legal meanings: Both of these represent commercial logos of text or graphic logos, used in commercial activities. The difference is that the TM trademark does not have legal protection and enjoys the prior right to use when applying for trademark registration; the R trademark has the legal significance of trademark protection, and trademark users have exclusive rights.
