Gujing Gong Liquor is produced in Bozhou City, Anhui Province. It is a Daqu strong-flavor liquor that is a specialty of the Bozhou area and is also a traditional famous liquor in Bozhou. Gujing tribute wine is known as the "peony in wine" and is known as one of the eight famous wines in China.
Gujing tribute wine is brewed from ancient well spring water. The well is a relic of the Three Kingdoms period. The well water can be called nectar and is milky white. Because the well water is naturally sweet, the wine produced is as clear as water in color, as pure as orchid in fragrance, with a sweet and mellow taste and a long-lasting aftertaste.
Gujing Gong Liquor has won the gold medal in the National Liquor Appraisal Competition four times and won the title of China's Famous Liquor. In 1988, it topped the list at the 13th Paris International Food Fair. The trademark of Gujing Gongjiu is "vintage puree". The origin area of ??Gujing Gongjiu is located in the Bay of Wohe River and the Hetao of Honghe River. It is located in a warm and semi-humid monsoon climate zone with four distinct seasons, sufficient sunlight, mild climate, moderate rainfall, and good combination of light, heat, and water conditions.

Gujing Gongjiu has a history of more than 1,800 years of wine culture. According to research, Gujing Gongjiu began in the first year of Jian'an (196). At that time, Cao Cao introduced the specialty of his hometown Bozhou to "Jiu Ying Chun Wine" and its brewing method were dedicated to Emperor Xian of the Han Dynasty. Since then, the wine has become a tribute to the royal family of all dynasties.
Gujing tribute wine has a long history. During the Northern and Southern Dynasties, people found an ancient well in Jiadianji, Bozhou. The well water was clear and sweet. People used the well water to make wine and tea, which was an unforgettable aftertaste. According to legend, a general lost his battle and threw his weapons into a well before he died. Unexpectedly, after that, the well water became clearer and more transparent than before, refreshing and moisturizing the throat. The brewed wine was fragrant for ten miles, and the ancient well became famous. People called it "a famous well in the world".
According to historical records, the predecessor of Gujing tribute wine was "Jiu Yingchun wine", which was brewed by Cao Cao's men. Later, Cao Cao presented "Nine Brewing Spring Wine" and the brewing method "Nine Brewing Wine Method" to Liu Xie, Emperor Xian of the Han Dynasty. Emperor Xian praised it highly and used it as a palace wine.
Since then, wine-making workshops have sprung up in Bozhou. By the Song Dynasty, Jiadianji had become a famous wine-producing place. The local people still have a saying that "the mandarin fish in the vortex, the fish in the water, the carp in the water, and the wine with the coriander and the celery are used to feast the distinguished guests."
During the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty, Ge Lao Shen Li took "reduced wine" as hometown wine to pay tribute to the court at the Wanli Emperor's celebration. The Wanli Emperor applauded after drinking it, and designated the wine as a tribute and named it his year. Tribute was paid every year, hence the name "tribute wine". By the end of the Qing Dynasty, especially during the Republic of China, the people were overwhelmed, resulting in the desolation of the shacks, the workers leaving their hometowns, and the ancient wells also being destroyed.
