The former site of Guangshengyuan Drug Store is located at Nos. 34, 37 and 38, West Street, Taigu County, and is a county-level cultural relic protection unit. Guangshengyuan Drug Store was formerly known as Guangshenghao Drug Store. In the 20th year of the Jiajing reign of the Ming Dynasty (1541), an old Chinese medicine practitioner from Xiangyuan opened Guangsheng Pharmacy on West Street in Taigu County. In the 13th year of Jiaqing in the Qing Dynasty (1808), it was reorganized into Guangshengju, and branches were established in Hankou, Guangzhou and other places. In the seventh year of Guangxu (1881), in addition to the original Du family, Yao family, and Duan family, the capital added seven more shareholders, including Shen family, and started a new business to build Guangshengyuan Pharmacy. In 1955, two factories, Guangshengju and Guangshengyu, were merged and renamed Guangyuyuan Pharmaceutical Factory, becoming the first batch of pilot units for public-private partnership in Shanxi Province. In 1956, it was merged into Guangyuanxing Pharmacy. Each of the three families was named Guangshengyuan. In 1973, a new location was built outside the south gate of the county and renamed Shanxi Traditional Chinese Medicine Factory. The former site of Guangshengyu is located at No. 37 West Street, facing north. It was originally a second courtyard. Now there are only 15 houses left, covering an area of ??about 360 square meters. The former site of Guangshengju is located at No. 38 West Street, facing south. It covers an area of ??about 380 square meters and has 20 houses. The former site of Guangyuanxing is located at No. 34 West Street. It faces south and faces the second courtyard. It covers an area of ??about 720 square meters and has 36 houses.
