Pepper virus disease, prevention is very important!

Pepper virus disease mainly harms pepper leaves, but in the process of pepper growth, once the leaves have problems, it will bring great harm to pepper growth. Today, I will share with you how to prevent pepper virus disease and what medicine to apply.

I. Types and Identification of Viral Diseases

Pepper virus diseases mainly include mosaic type, deformity type, necrosis type and stripe type. Pepper mosaic, also known as pepper virus disease, toxin disease, madness and so on. In recent years, it has become more and more serious all over the country. It is one of the most important diseases of pepper, which occurs in spring and autumn, especially in autumn pepper and late autumn pepper. Due to the harm of virus disease, the yield of sweet pepper type decreased by 5%- 10%, and that of long pepper type decreased by about 10%.

Second, the law of occurrence

The main pathogens of pepper virus disease are tobacco mosaic virus and cucumber mosaic virus. Mosaic virus and stripe virus are caused by tobacco mosaic virus, which is highly virulent and can infect many plants. Tobacco mosaic virus overwinters in the sick residue, seeds or cigarettes in the soil, mainly through field farming operations and liquid contact on the leaves, especially in high temperature and dry weather, which is beneficial to the reproduction and spread of aphids.

Third, prevention and control methods

① Selection of disease-resistant varieties. Generally, early-maturing and spicy varieties have strong disease resistance, and all localities should choose varieties with strong resistance according to the occurrence of local diseases.

② Seed treatment. Soak seeds with 10% trisodium phosphate solution for 20-30 minutes before sowing. After washing with clear water, accelerate germination and sow.

③ Strengthening cultivation management. Choose high-lying sandy loam land for planting, and try to avoid continuous cropping with solanaceae crops. Reasonable close planting, timely removal of weeds in the field, reasonable irrigation. To eliminate aphids as soon as possible, we should pay attention to avoid spreading diseases through artificial field farming operations, and disinfect hands that have come into contact with infected plants with soap or 10% trisodium phosphate.

④ Chemical control. After colonization, spray with 20% Viride, 1.5% Phytotoxin and 20% Virus A, and spray 1 time every 7- 10 days for 2-3 times.

It is effective for the initial virus 12 hours, can control the disease development in 2-3 days, make the leaves rejuvenate, make the color dark green and moist, and make more than 90% of the diseased plants return to normal growth, and the new buds grown in 3 days are virus-free, which has obvious effects on various viral diseases.
