Advertising shirt technology
12 printing process is often used for advertising shirt LOGO.

In the process of production practice, we often present our advertisements, patterns and logo on advertising shirts with different performance effects, which not only has the advertising effect, but also shows the personality.

1, computer embroidery

Computer embroidery is increasingly favored by customers. In the past, it was mainly used in high-end sports and leisure clothes as a way to display clothing brand LOGO, so in people's impression, computer embroidery is relatively high-end.

Indeed, computer embroidery is a high-cost production process, which is more expensive than screen printing. However, because of its popularity and the technical development of uv stepless dimming power embroidery machine, computer embroidery has occupied a place in the LOGO production of advertising shirts, which is a process that many quality-oriented customers are willing to choose.

Computer embroidery technology has good visual effect and strong three-dimensional effect because its pattern is embroidered with silk thread, and the gloss of silk thread is quite good.

Because of the accumulation of embroidery threads and the density of stitches, embroidery is not suitable for expressing small characters and patterns, and the characters should be no less than No.3; Because of the tight arrangement of silk threads, the embroidered part will feel hard and will not soften with time, so it is not suitable for large-scale use. When the coverage rate is 30%, it is recommended not to exceed A6, especially short-sleeved advertising shirts in summer, which are usually embroidered on the chest and can be directly felt, let alone used in a large area; In addition, because it is a pattern composed of silk threads, it is almost impossible to show patterns and characters with gradient effect; Because the silk thread has a certain thickness and hardness, it should not be embroidered across other colors, that is to say, to avoid patterns with intertwined color combinations; Too much color embroidery should also be avoided.

Because of its high hardness, computer embroidery is not suitable for thin fabrics, such as T-shirts with knitted fabrics, and is basically not suitable for automatic gun computer embroidery. You can choose knitted fabric mesh, which is most suitable for woven fabrics such as overalls, school uniforms, spring and autumn winter clothes.

2. Foam printing

Foam printing is a kind of screen printing, but the printing paste used is foam paste. After heating or standing, the printing surface of foamed slurry will bubble and expand rapidly, forming obvious three-dimensional effect and being elastic, just like foamed sponge products. Often use sportswear and casual fashion. Like ordinary screen printing, the color can be adjusted at will.

Foam printing does not need too much fabric, and it is suitable for almost all clothes worn outside.

3, mucilage printing

Glue printing is also a kind of ordinary screen printing, but the printing paste used is different.

Offset paste is used in offset printing, which is characterized by a layer of plastic-like things on the printed surface after drying, and will not be affected after washing. Its printed matter is characterized by bright colors, good texture and luster, which can cover the background color of all dark clothes, including black.

Because the printing surface of mucilage printing is airtight, it is forbidden to use mucilage printing in large areas for advertising shirts worn in summer.

The printing cost of mucilage printing is slightly higher than that of water slurry, so the printing cost will be higher. It has no requirements for clothes, and it is suitable for almost all clothes worn outside.

4, gold powder printing

Gold powder printing is a kind of screen printing, and the printing paste used is made of special gold powder paste mixed with gold powder. Gold powder paste is gelatinous with high viscosity. When printing, use a 60-80 mesh low screen. After printing, it can be heated, and the surface of the printed matter has a strong feel and gold luster.

Gold powder printing is mostly used for casual fashion, but rarely used for advertising shirt printing.

5. Offset printing and hot stamping

Offset printing hot stamping and offset printing belong to the category of offset printing. The origin of offset printing hot stamping is because of the effect of offset printing, and the pattern is clear and realistic, which can achieve the effect of photos. According to Kodak, it was named offset printing hot stamping.

Offset hot stamping is made of four colors (CMYK), and the color effect can reach the photo effect (people, scenery, etc.). ), and the color is washable and tensile. Widely used in garments and high temperature resistant fabrics. Scope of use: bags, handbags, advertising shirts, cultural shirts, children's wear, women's wear and other clothing.

Offset printing is often used to copy paintings and calligraphy works, which can show the effect of color gradient.

Offset printing hot stamping and offset printing are very expensive because of the complicated plate-making process, and the general advertising shirts are hardly used.

6, three-dimensional thick plate printing

Thick plate printing technology is a special new printing technology, which has developed rapidly in recent years. Its printed matter has a certain thickness, and the thickness can be adjusted in advance, which is very stereoscopic. Three-dimensional thick plate printing is mainly used to make clothing trademarks and corporate logos. Printed matter is plastic, feels good, and the color can be adjusted by itself.

Although the three-dimensional thick plate printing has developed rapidly at present, it is mostly limited to fashion and rarely used for advertising shirts. The cost is higher.

7, thermosetting ink printing

Thermosetting ink is mainly used for dot printing, especially spot color dot printing. Without digital computer technology, color separation and pattern selection will be very difficult. Therefore, it is the rapid development of digital computer technology that makes dot printing popular.

CMYK four-color separation dot has become a very convenient and simple thing. Anyone with basic computer operation skills can easily convert the color images in the computer into CMYK mode, and then set the number of screening lines, angles and dot shapes in the output settings (page settings) to print or typeset films.

The thermosetting ink printing introduced here is the same as the four-color dot printing introduced below, but the ink used is different. Thermosetting ink has strong covering ability, and can be printed on dark clothes without being affected by background color, while water slurry four-color dot printing is difficult to cover dark background color, but mucilage can be used.

Thermosetting inks need to be heated after printing, usually by drying. After drying, the printed surface feels a little stiff, which is mostly used for alternative and personalized fashion casual wear. Often used in game culture shirts. The cost is relatively high and it is rarely used on advertising shirts.

8, thermal transfer hot label

In fact, hot mark is a garment auxiliary business. It transfers the processed clothing label to the clothes by heating and pressurizing, which is mainly used for the brand trademark and customized LOGO of middle and high-end casual clothes. The customization of thermal transfer labels requires a certain number. Hot label is a plastic product, which needs high temperature and high pressure to be transferred to clothes. It has a certain elasticity, but it is still much harder than traditional printed labels and is not suitable for too large a size.

Like the thermal transfer label, there is also a plastic sewing label, which is made of exactly the same material, but does not need heating and pressure. Sew it on the clothes with a flat car, and you will see the seam at the edge. More common in low-end casual fashion.

9. Flash onion printing

Flash onion printing is a common printing process, which transfers flash onion powder, flash onion powder and silver onion powder to printing. After the printing surface is dried, there is glittering metallic luster powder, and the effect is very fashionable. Flash onion printing technology is mostly used for young people and children's wear, and there is no requirement for clothing fabrics. It's hard to see it on the advertising shirt.

Similarly, there is the thermal transfer process of glitter powder thermal transfer paper.

10, hot stamping

Hot stamping belongs to the thermal transfer process in transfer printing. It prints the design on the transfer paper, and then transfers it to the clothes under the pressure of heat. Its advantages are as follows: a. The pattern can be printed directly on the transfer paper without separate plate making, and each print can be used once and cannot be reused. You don't need to make a plate first like screen printing. B. Color patterns can be completely restored, and the photo-level effect can be achieved, which can not be achieved by screen printing technology at present. Therefore, this thermal transfer process is now basically used in personalized cultural shirts.

Hot stamping, that is, thermal transfer process is divided into light-colored transfer paper and dark transfer paper according to the performance of transfer paper. The pattern on the light-colored transfer paper can only be transferred to the light-colored clothing fabric, which basically penetrates into the fabric, so it feels better, but it can't cover the background color of the dark fabric; Dark transfer paper is a kind of film, which can be directly attached to the fabric under heating and pressure, and can cover a dark background, as shown in the following figure. Because dark transfer paper is a membrane, it can't breathe, and its hardness, hand feeling and body feeling are not very good, so it is not suitable for large-scale use. The two handsome guys in the picture below can only be cool, and the feeling of wearing this large-scale dark bronzing in summer is not wonderful.

1 1, water slurry printing

Water slurry printing is the most common process in garment printing. Almost all advertising shirts are printed with water slurry and mucilage, of which water slurry printing accounts for the vast majority. Multi-color printing with water slurry can meet most printing requirements, and it is durable and does not fade. It is difficult for water slurry to cover the background color on dark clothing fabrics. Therefore, when printing water slurry for dark clothing, it is necessary to adjust the screen spacing to increase the thickness of printing slurry to cover the background color.

Water slurry printing has no special requirements for clothing fabrics.

Some guests literally thought that the slurry would be washed away by water, but it was actually a misunderstanding. Water slurry is only water-soluble resin slurry, and the color printed on clothes is pigment. Water slurry is only used to blend diluted pigments and is an auxiliary agent. It does not display color itself. Water slurry is actually transparent. Bottled water slurry is a white colloidal fluid, which is soluble in water. After the printed matter is dried, it will dissolve in the previous washing, while the pigment is combined with the fabric and insoluble in water, so the water slurry printing part will. This is the advantage of water slurry printing.

12, click print

Dot printing is to separate colors according to CMYK four colors. In each color swatch, there is a way of hanging dots, and dots with different sizes and densities are used to show the gradual change of color, so as to achieve the effect of gradual change of color. Through four-color halftone overprinting, full-color patterns can be printed. This is the best means for screen printing to print color patterns with gradual gradation. Limited by the dot size and the physical characteristics of the mesh, the effect of four-color dot printing still can't reach the effect of hot stamping, but it will last much longer than hot stamping, with better washing resistance, better hand feeling and lower batch printing cost.

Four-color dot printing is rarely used for advertising shirts because of its difficulty in plate making, high printing accuracy and high cost. It is more common in fashions that require high effect, and some customized products such as high-end game cultural shirts and alternative cultural shirts of brand enterprises that are not sensitive to printing prices.
