Who are the main cable manufacturers in China?
According to the available data, we have made statistics and analysis on the data of domestic enterprises (data in May 2000) accessing the network (China wire and cable network) (except Tibet and Taiwan Province Province).

According to the available data, there are 4,263 wire and cable manufacturers who have entered the network and notified their product types, including 73 optical cable manufacturers, 504 communication cable manufacturers and 3,686 power cable manufacturers.

Optical cable manufacturers are located in Jiangsu, Shandong, Shanghai, Sichuan, Zhejiang and other regions, among which Jiangsu Province has reached 23, accounting for nearly1/3 (31.51%) of the total number of optical cable enterprises in China. However, there are no optical cable manufacturers in western regions such as Qinghai, Ningxia, Guizhou, Xinjiang, Yunnan, Inner Mongolia and Jilin (data in May 2000).

There are more than two optical cable enterprises in Henan, Liaoning, Fujian, Beijing, Shaanxi, Anhui, Hebei, Guangdong, Zhejiang, Sichuan, Shanghai, Shandong and Jiangsu. We analyzed the distribution of optical cable manufacturers in the western, central and eastern regions. Western provinces (Qinghai, Ningxia, Guizhou, Xinjiang, Yunnan, Inner Mongolia, Gansu, Guangxi, Shaanxi and Sichuan) 10, and central provinces (Shanxi, Chongqing, Jiangxi, Hunan, Heilongjiang, Hubei, Tianjin, Henan, Liaoning, Beijing, Anhui, Hebei and Jilin)/kloc-0.

Table 1: regional distribution map of national optical cable manufacturers. There are 270 communication cables mainly distributed in Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Shanghai and Guangdong, accounting for more than half of the total number of communication cable manufacturers in China. There are 19 provinces and cities with less than 10, among which Qinghai, Ningxia and Guizhou have no communication cable manufacturers.

There are 686 power cable factories, of which more than 300 are in Hebei, Guangdong, Jiangsu and Zhejiang, with a total of 1876, accounting for 50.90% of the total power cables in China. There are less than 50 in Qinghai, Ningxia, Guizhou, Xinjiang, Gansu, Yunnan, Inner Mongolia, Guangxi, Fujian, Shanxi, Chongqing and Beijing, with a total of only 286, which is less than 60% of Zhejiang Province. The overall situation is as follows: Based on the above data, we further know the following facts, and we can infer that the power cable production capacity in the west is less than that in the east110. However, due to the development of the western region and the implementation of the "power transmission from west to east" measures, the demand for power cables in western China has further increased, which will surely become a competitive platform for China power cable manufacturers.

According to further data analysis, there are 73 cross-linked cable manufacturers in China, mainly distributed in Hebei, Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Guangdong, Beijing and Tianjin. The total number reached 37, exceeding the national 1/2. There are 2483 plastic cable manufacturers, and almost half of the power cable factories in China have the production capacity of plastic cables (including wiring). However, due to the high price and long-term incentive competition, the profit of this product is not much, and the price of plastic cables in the market is almost transparent. There are 1 159 manufacturers with conductor production capacity, accounting for 1/4 of the total power cables in China. Moreover, these cable factories are relatively small in scale and production capacity, mainly some small cable factories that emerged during the hot period of infrastructure construction. For example, there are 387 plastic cables in Jiangsu Province and 498 in Zhejiang Province, accounting for more than 1/3(35.66%) of the total. Its specific distribution is as follows:

For the nature of the enterprise, we take the wire and cable production enterprises in Beijing as an example to analyze the general situation. The data shows that there are 0/6 state-owned enterprises, 28 collective enterprises, 2 joint ventures and 2 private and joint-stock enterprises in Beijing (the production capacity is not clear). Table 6: Analysis Diagram of Cable Manufacturers in Beijing From the statistical data, the situation of cable manufacturers in Beijing can be similar to the overall situation of cable manufacturers in China. The figure shows that at present, cable enterprises are mainly collective enterprises, accounting for more than half (59%) of the total. There are few joint ventures, private enterprises and joint-stock enterprises, accounting for less than110 (8%). At present, there are more and more joint ventures, private capital and joint-stock enterprises in Jiangsu, Zhejiang and other eastern regions, and private capital is constantly entering the wire and cable industry (because the entry threshold of the industry is relatively low, the investment scale can be large or small). There are many small wire and cable manufacturers in some areas, which is very encouraging in plastic cable products. In addition, there are many wire manufacturers, and new ones appear constantly. However, at present, the overall situation in China is that there are not many international capitals entering the wires and cables, which are not found in most areas. Only Beijing, Tianjin, Shanghai, Jiangsu, Guangdong and other provinces and cities with relatively mature investment environment and relatively large strategic position have them. In the collective or state-owned wire and cable production enterprises, a considerable proportion belong to the power supply system or other systems, and their product market is relatively fixed, taking the local power grid transformation demand as the market, belonging to the type of "self-production and self-marketing", so its local market is difficult to enter. In addition, under such fierce competition, its price-cost model has been deformed. As one of the important indicators of cable manufacturers, quality has made many cable companies tired, which is beneficial to later cable companies. In addition, Hebei Province is a province where wires and cables enter ahead of schedule, and there are many cable manufacturers, mainly covering the North China market, especially the Beijing market. For example, the output of cross-linked cables has reached 65,438+00.
