There is a trademark classification table, the full name is "Similar Trademarks and Services Classification Table". You must consult this table when registering a trademark, because when applying for trademark registration, you must according to this table Classify our goods and then apply to the Trademark Office.

Fill in the product category and product name of the reported trademark according to the product classification table. This product classification table looks very unfamiliar, and sometimes it is difficult to check because it is based on the international classification determined by the "Nice International Classification of Goods and Services for Trademark Registration". The latest trademark classification includes 34 categories of goods and 11 categories of services. category. It cannot be ruled out that with the development of commodity society, there will be continuous changes. Many people wonder how to fill in the product category when applying for a trademark. First, let’s look at the major categories. After finding the major category, check similar groups and select products from the small items below similar groups.

For example, how do we choose the trademark registration in the clothing category? 2501 Clothing, this is a similar group. When selecting a small item, select one of the items below it, such as: shirt, 250042; select This registration can protect the entire 2501 group, because after you register successfully, others cannot register the same name in other sub-items of this group. What we are talking about is choosing ten small items to register. It means to select one of the ten similar groups under a certain category to register. As long as you register a small item for each similar group, it can be fully protected.

An extra item will be charged an additional fee of RMB 100. In addition, if a trademark applicant applies to register the same trademark on different categories of goods, he should submit a registration application in accordance with the commodity classification table, and needs to pay an additional application fee of 1,000 yuan. But what needs to be noted is that you can only put an R on the small items you applied for. You can use it on other small items in a similar group, but you cannot put an R on it. If you need to get an R, you need to apply again.

Applicants can use the same trademark in different categories, as long as you apply for multiple categories separately. Of course, different categories require re-application. If a registered trademark changes its sign, a new registration application is required. If a registered trademark needs to change the name, address or other registration information of the registrant, a change application should be submitted. Note that this does not require a new application, just a change. What to pay attention to when registering a trademark
