the bridge is a trinity of city railway, national railway and expressway. During the construction, China Railway Bridge Bureau won 1 national invention patents and 5 national utility model patents, creating 3 new domestic construction records, and started construction on February 8, 21.
On June 16th, 214, Huanggang Yangtze River Bridge, the world's largest highway-railway bridge, was completed and opened to traffic.
Bridge construction
The Huanggang Yangtze River Bridge is about 4.1 kilometers long, of which the combined length of public railway is 2.567 kilometers, and it is designed as a double deck. The upper deck is designed as a four-lane expressway with a speed of 1km/h, and the lower deck is designed as a two-lane high-speed railway with a speed of 2 km/h.
The main bridge is a twin-tower steel truss girder cable-stayed bridge, with a span of 1,215m and a main span of 567m, which is the largest main span of a highway-railway bridge in the world. The total investment of its inter-city railway, national railway tie line and expressway projects is 8.746 billion yuan. Among them, Huanggang Yangtze River Bridge is 2.493 billion yuan.
the railway part of the bridge is jointly invested by the former China Ministry of Railways and Hubei Province, and the investment in the highway part and the highway sharing part of the bridge is invested by local investment. The construction period of the bridge is 4 years and it was completed in 214. As the cross-river passage of Wuhan-Huanggang intercity railway, it takes only 28 minutes to take the intercity train from Wuhan to Huanggang after the bridge is opened to traffic.
Significance
Huanggang Yangtze River Bridge is not only an important link between Wuhan-Huanghua Intercity Railway, Daguang Expressway and Han-e Expressway, but also a river-crossing channel on the link between Beijing-Kowloon Railway and Wujiu Railway. It is also an important river-crossing link project between Zhejiang, a "province with small resources and big economy" in the east, and Wuhan Hanrong express railway via Anqing straight-line high-speed railway in the middle.
Huanggang Yangtze River Bridge has created four firsts in the world:
The span of steel beam is 1,215m, and the main span is 567m, which is the first in the world for similar bridges. The largest stay cable of the main bridge is composed of as many as 475 parallel steel wires, which is the thickest stay cable in the world. But also can bear more than 3, tons of tensile force, ranking first in the world in terms of compression resistance and tensile strength. In addition, the highway-railway dual-purpose bridge has a four-lane expressway on the upper floor and a two-lane passenger railway dedicated line on the lower floor, showing an inverted trapezoid with a wide top and narrow bottom, with an inclination angle of 2.35 degrees, which is also the highest in the world.
