In the packaging industry, superscript means to put a label on the outer packaging of products to prevent others from counterfeiting.
The superscript can be marked in the upper left corner of the name or in the upper right corner of the name. For example, the (r) in the upper right corner of the WINDOWS system boot timestamp indicates the meaning of registered trademark.
