The world-famous candy company Cadbury Schweppes plans to split into two . One focuses on the chocolate and candy business, and the other focuses on developing beverage brands including 7 Up and Dr Pepper in the United States.
The company's demerger is estimated to boost Cadbury's market value by £3.4 billion, while also improving management and correcting some recent problems. A decision to split the company could be announced as early as Thursday.
Cadbury, headquartered in London, has a history of nearly two hundred years and has more than 36,000 employees worldwide. Cadbury is the third largest soft drinks company in terms of sales volume after Coca-Cola and PepsiCo.
