? In lower grades, literacy is still the top priority, so how should we teach children to read?
This book introduces several interesting literacy methods:
? 1. Make a daily literacy newspaper
? Put the wrapping paper, packaging boxes, and trademarks at home , cut out the characters you know from newspapers and periodicals and paste them on larger paper to make a literacy newspaper. The words on the literacy newspaper can be made into new word cards. The children read the colorful and brilliant literacy newspapers, and then read the new word cards to self-test their literacy results. After the children are proficient in reading, they can take it to school and exchange it with their classmates to teach and learn from each other.
? Parents are asked to make full use of the resources that students have frequent contact with, such as society and family, to give wings of joy to students’ literacy journey. For example, the process of riding in a car or visiting a store can also be a good opportunity for students to learn literacy.
? 2. Read children's songs and spell sentences
? In school, teachers teach children to learn the children's songs in "Reading Children's Songs and Understanding Chinese Characters" every day. Parents can write out children's songs on cards, and the children can use cards to lay out the children's songs on the table while reading.
? 3. Play poker and spell out children's songs
? Distribute a set of Chinese character cards that can form a children's song to parents and children. You can read or sing children's songs while flipping playing cards. Throw the Chinese character cards on the table. After flipping, swap the cards and flip again.
4. Labeling
? Write new word cards (pinyin cards) for furniture, toys, stationery, etc., and let the children label the items.
? For my own child, I have also been paying attention to cultivating her literacy skills and insisting on literacy every day. I hope she can gradually transition to independent reading in the future.
