During the Eastern Han Dynasty of China, she surrendered to Cai Jingjia at the invitation of the immortal Wang Fangping. She was eighteen or nineteen years old. She was beautiful and said that she had "seen the East China Sea turn into mulberry fields three times." ". Therefore, Magu was used as a metaphor for longevity in ancient times. In the past, people often gave Magu statues to women on their birthdays, which were named Magu Xian Shou.

According to ancient books

Magu is a female fairy revered by Taoism. Ge Hong's "Biography of Immortals: Biography of Magu" says:

"During the reign of Emperor Xiaohuan of the Han Dynasty, the Immortal Wang Yuan, named Fang Ping, came to Cai Jing's family... and met Jing's parents and brothers. He sat alone for a long time. , that is, people come to visit (Ma Gu). "Jiyun: "Ma Gu arrived,... she is a good woman, about eighteen or nineteen years old. She has a bun on her head, and her hair hangs down to her waist. Jinqi is dazzling and indescribable. When he came to worship Fang Ping, he stood up and called him to the kitchen... Magu said: "Since I took over, I have seen three fields in the East China Sea." The water is half as shallow as before. How can it be returned to Linglu? "Fang Ping said with a smile: "The sage said that dust will rise again in the sea." "Cai Jing said. When he saw it, he thought in his mind that it would be better to use this claw to crawl on his back. Fang Ping knew that (Cai) Sutra was thinking in his heart, and he said: "Magu is a divine person." "Why do you think that the claws can climb the back?" But I saw the whip on the back of the sutra, and no one was holding the whip. "After the banquet, Fang Ping and Magu ordered to go up to the sky, and the flutes, drums and Tao were as before. " ① Du Guangting's "Yongcheng Jixianlu·Magu Biography" is copied in full, with only one sentence before the biography saying: "Ma Gu is the inferior of Shang Zhenyuanjun"

" The content recorded in "The Legend of Immortals·Wang Yuanzhuan" is slightly the same. However, there is no record of the kinship between Wang Yuan and Magu in the above-mentioned two biographies. However, "The Posthumous Collection of True Immortal Body and Tao Tongjian Collection" states: "Ma Gu is Wang Fangping's sister, and she became an immortal through Taoism." ②Those who have been benefited by future generations.

Ge Hong's "The Legend of Magu" is famous for its rich imagination in later generations.

The words "Three fields in the East China Sea are mulberry fields" and "Dust rises again in the sea" have become the source of the famous allusions of "The changes in the sea and mulberry fields" and "The dust in the East China Sea".

Under the influence of "The Biography of Magu" and later generations of literati, female fairies named Magu appeared in many places. For example, Volume 131 of "Taiping Guangji" quoted from "Qi Xie Ji" records that Magu was a native of Taiyuan (376-396), Emperor Xiaowu of the Eastern Jin Dynasty, and was called "Magu, a citizen of Fuyang in the eighth year of Taiyuan". Later, he "vomited blood and died" after eating snake meat. ③Volume 270 of "Collection of Ancient and Modern Books: Shenyidian" quoted Magu from "Taiping Qinghua", "surnamed Li, courtesy name Qiongxian, a member of the Tang Dynasty."

④ Volume 237 of the same book quoted Magu as recorded in "Dengzhou Fu Zhi" as "Ma Qiu Nu of Later Zhao, or a native of Yunjianchang, practiced Taoism in Guyu Mountain in the southeast of Mouzhou, ascended to the throne, and became a real person in Zhenghe Zhongfeng" . ⑤. The above Magu all have the same name accidentally, or they chose this name intentionally. Secondly, Magu Mountain, Magu Cave and Magu Temple appeared in some places. Tang Yan Zhenqing's "Records of the Immortal Altar of Magu Mountain in Nancheng County, Fuzhou" says: "According to the "Illustrated Book", there is Magu Mountain in Nancheng County with an ancient altar on the top. It is said that Magu Yun attained enlightenment here." ⑥ "Collection of Ancient and Modern Books·Divine Classics" states that there is Magu Mountain to the east of Ningguo Prefecture in Jiangxi Province. "Magu practiced Taoism here, and Dan Zao still exists. She also lived in Jianchang, so the mountain is also called Magu." ⑦Volume 4 of Song Hongmai's "Yijian Bingzhi" says: "Thirty miles away from Qingcheng Mountain (Sichuan), there is Magu Cave. It is said that Yun is also the place where Magu cultivated himself." ⑧Volume 5 of "Yiyuan": "In the Qin Dynasty, there was a Mei (Ma) aunt's temple on the side of the lake in Danyang County. When the aunt was born, she had Taoist skills and could perform on the water. Later, she betrayed the Taoist methods, and her son-in-law killed her in anger and threw her body into the water. The water drifted with the currents until it reached the foot of the bell (ridge) near the temple." ⑨ Most of them also come here in the name of Magu.

Magu in "The Legend of Immortals" was originally an immortal who saw "Three fields of mulberry in the East China Sea". She was a long-lived immortal, so later generations often used it to symbolize longevity. There were paintings by painters as late as the Ming Dynasty. "Magna's birthday picture" is a gift for people to celebrate their birthdays.

Myths and Legends

Part 1: Magu’s birthday celebration

During the reign of Emperor Huan of the Eastern Han Dynasty, on July 7th of a certain year, the fairy Wang Yuan came to the home of a man named Cai Jing in Wuxian County, Jiangsu Province. Cai Jing's family had already prepared sumptuous food and wine to welcome the arrival of the gods. When the gods took off, people heard the sound of men and horses in the sky, and the sound of gongs and drums. When Wang Yuan arrived, he saw this man of medium stature, wearing a far-traveling crown on his head, red clothes, a colorful gentleman's belt, and a sword hanging on his back. He was riding on a feather chariot, which was dragged by a colorful flying dragon.

After Wang Yuan met Cai Jing and his family, he sent an envoy to invite the fairy Magu to the banquet. After the messenger conveyed Magu's message, not long after, there was another noisy sound in the sky, and Magu descended to earth. I saw that Magu was a pretty girl of seventeen or eighteen years old. She had a police knot on her head, and the rest of her long black hair hung down to her waist. She was dressed in dazzling clothes. After the fairy and Wang Yuan finished their greetings, everyone took out the food they carried, most of which were fruits, dried meat and the like. Magu said: "Since the last time I met you, I have seen the East China Sea turn into mulberry fields three times. Not long ago, I went to Penglai again. The water here was half less than when the Immortals Conference was held in the past. I think it will become land soon!" Wang Yuan also sighed: "The ancient saints also said that dust would fly in the sea." Magu also met the female members of the Cai family and suddenly called out to Cai Jing's sister-in-law. She had just given birth to a child a few days ago. Magu asked her to take out some rice, and then sprinkled the rice on the ground. As a result, the rice turned into grains of cinnabar. When Wang Yuan saw this, he mixed a liter of fine wine he brought from heaven with a bucket of water and invited the Cai family to drink with him. When Cai Jing saw Magu's bird-claw-like fingers, he suddenly had an idea: It must be very comfortable to scratch his back with those claws. Unexpectedly, Wang Yuan understood his thoughts and yelled loudly: "Ma Gu is a fairy, but you want to scratch his back with her claws, how brave!" After saying this, Cai Jing was tied up and whipped. Everyone witnessed Cai Jing being whipped, but no one saw the torturer. Wang Yuan said: "Ordinary people are not lucky enough to bear my whipping.

After the banquet was over, Wang Yuan and Magu ascended to heaven. At this time, the same fairy music was heard in heaven as when they came down to earth.

This is, " Volume 232 of the Collection of Ancient and Modern Books: "Wang Yuan" in Ge Hong's "The Legend of Immortals" records the legend of Magu. There are not many records of the legend of Magu in ancient times. The above is one of them. "The Complete Biography of Immortals": Magu was the daughter of "Ma Qiu", a famous cruel general of the Sixteenth Kingdom of Northern Zhao. Because Ma Qiu was cruel by nature, when he was working on the people to build the city in Macheng (now Macheng, Hubei Province), he was not allowed to rest day and night. Magu sympathized with the people and taught herself ventriloquism. She often imitated the rooster's crow, so that other chickens would also crow and the migrant workers could take a rest early. Later, his father discovered it. Beating Magu, Magu fled to Xiangu Cave to practice Taoism, and later ascended to heaven from the bridge and became an immortal.

"Ma Gu's birthday" has always been an enduring theme in Chinese folk New Year paintings. /p>

Part Two: Magu Becomes an Immortal

On the west bank of Xujiang River, more than ten miles away from the county seat, there is Magu Mountain. According to legend, this mountain was not called Magu Mountain a long time ago. , and is called Danxia Mountain.

There is a villager in the mountain who has a daughter named Magu. Magu is smart and beautiful. When she was a teenager, she often went to pick mushrooms and collect firewood with her sister-in-law. They often go out at the same time, and never come back to find one. Moreover, every time Magu picks more mushrooms, she collects more firewood than her sister-in-law.

One day, my sister-in-law asked Magu if anyone had helped you. , Magu told the truth. It turned out that Magu had a girl helping him every day, but he didn’t know where the girl lived. One day, Magu went to the mountain to pick mushrooms. Following her sister-in-law’s instructions, she secretly followed the girl, walking, walking, and discovered. The girl suddenly disappeared after walking under a big pine tree. After returning home, she told her sister-in-law truthfully. She told her that you should go back tomorrow and secretly tie a piece of red silk thread behind her back. It’s difficult.

The next day, Magu followed the plan and secretly tied the red silk thread on the back of the girl’s clothes, and then followed her secretly. When she got to the pine tree, the girl disappeared and only the ground was visible. A strand of red silk thread appeared on the ground, and Magu's sister-in-law, who had been secretly following Magu for a long time, rushed up, raised her hoe and dug, and unexpectedly dug out a human-shaped Poria cocos with red silk thread on it. Magu couldn't bear it and cried for her sister-in-law. After putting it back in its original place, my sister-in-law refused and said to Magu: "This is a thousand-year-old Poria cocos. If you eat it, you can strengthen your health. If you don't take it, others will dig it up."

When I got home, my sister-in-law said. With an excuse, he put Magu away and immediately started cooking the Poria, intending to eat it alone. Unexpectedly, the Poria was still cooking in the pot, and he was called over by a neighbor. At this time, Magu came back and suddenly smelled a strange fragrance and couldn't help but eat it. She opened the lid of the pot, scooped out a little bit and tasted it. Ha, it was delicious. The child was ignorant, so she ate it all. When she thought of her sister-in-law, the Poria cocos had already been eaten, and she was floating in the air. Blue sky. My sister-in-law came home and saw that there was nothing in the pot and Magu was not there. She was waiting to find her. Suddenly she heard Magu calling her sister-in-law in the air. At this time, she saw Magu sitting upright among the colorful clouds and waving to her sister-in-law.

After Magu ascended to immortality, Taishang Laojun taught her how to get rid of disasters, and she could throw rice into pills. Magu appears every year, cures diseases and eliminates disasters for the poor folks, and frequently grants good harvests. During the reign of Emperor Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty, people built the Magu Temple to commemorate this fairy. The people called the best rice Magu rice, the best tea Magu tea, and the best wine Magu wine. This Danxia Mountain is also called Magu rice. It was renamed Magushan.

Tourist Attractions

One of them:

In today's north of downtown Macheng, Hubei Province, there is the Wunao Fairy Mountain with Magu attractions.

According to legend, during the Eastern Han Dynasty, an official named Ma had a dream at night. He fished up a budding lotus from the river. When I woke up in the morning, my wife gave birth to a baby girl. She was very beautiful and had excellent hearing. After three days, she could bab and talk. After more than a month, she could learn to read poems and essays with her parents. When she was seven or eight years old, she could The rice was thrown from her hand to the ground and turned into countless colorful orbs.

Later, the emperor sent her father to supervise the construction of the city wall. The foreman used a whip to force the laborers to work from sunrise to sunset every day, and from sunset to rooster crow before resting.

After working for several days, the laborers were all exhausted and complained endlessly. The kind-hearted Magu couldn't bear it. In order to let the laborers rest early, she imitated the crow of a rooster when it got dark, causing all the roosters in the neighborhood to crow together. However, the matter was soon discovered, and her father was furious and put her in prison. Her parents tried to persuade her to admit her mistake many times and promised her glory and wealth, but she was never moved by them. Later, she turned rice grains into pearls and scattered them on the ground, attracting greedy prison officials to chase them and escape from prison. Her father then led his troops to pursue him until they reached the edge of a deep valley. Magu was desperate and just about to throw herself into the valley. The Queen Mother happened to pass by, pulled out the jade hairpin in the auspicious clouds and threw it down the valley. It turned into a jade bridge and Magu was saved.

After crossing the deep valley, Magu, under the guidance of the Queen Mother, walked for nine days and nine nights on the clear wind and white clouds, and arrived at a fairy mountain on the sea. Here there are clouds and mist, green pines and cypresses; peach groves on the slopes, with large and delicious fruits; spring water at the bottom of the valley, passing through the solid rocks, gurgling like the sound of a flute and a sheng. So Magu devoted herself to cultivation in the pure land of this fairy mountain, carefully cultivated fairy fruits, and collected Ganoderma lucidum to brew fine wine. A few years later, Magu cultivated and became an immortal. She chose the third day of the third lunar month, took the brewed wine and picked fairy peaches, and took off to see the Queen Mother to thank the Queen Mother for her life-saving enlightenment.

To this day, the cave where Magu lived and the "utensils" she used can still be seen in Kunyu Mountain.

Part 2:

There is Magu Mountain in the west of Nancheng County, Jiangxi Province. It has a unique mountain shape and beautiful scenery. It is the 28th cave among the 36 caves of Taoism. , the full name is: "Magu Mountain Danxia Wanling Cave Heaven", and it is the tenth blessed place among the seventy-two blessed places. This cave-heaven paradise originally belonged to the female fairy Magu. It is said that she lived in seclusion here and became an immortal, which is why she became famous.

Magu is a famous female longevity fairy in Chinese legends. "Ma Gu offers longevity" is one of the most important themes in folk paintings. It is said in "The Legend of Immortals" that her abilities are astonishing. First, she can walk on the water wearing wooden clogs, which is comparable to the Patriarch Bodhidharma crossing the sea on reed leaves. The second is to be able to throw rice into cinnabar.

Magu once said that she had seen the East China Sea turn into mulberry fields three times. She also said that the water in Penglai now is half shallower than in the past, and it will turn into land in the future. I don’t know how many tens of millions of years it will take for the sea to turn into a mulberry field. Magu has seen the sea turn into mulberry fields three times. How long should she live? Although she looks like an eighteen or nineteen-year-old girl, her actual age is impossible to estimate. Magu deserves to be the birthday girl. According to folklore, when the Queen Mother celebrated her birthday on the third day of March, a peach feast was held. Magu specially brewed birthday wine to offer to the Queen Mother of the West. This was the so-called "Magu Presenting Birthday".

Today’s images of Magu are mostly in paintings and handicrafts, or soaring in the clouds, accompanied by flying cranes, or riding deer, accompanied by green pine trees, or standing upright with a tray as an offering, usually in the hand or on the plate. There are fairy peaches, fine wine, or bergamot. In the past, when celebrating a woman's birthday, she would often send a birthday picture to Magu.

In Nancheng County, Jiangxi Province, the birthplace of Magu, people brewed the famous "Magu wine" using the sweet spring of Magu Mountain. This wine is transparent, mellow and fruity, and is indeed good for the body and mind.

Story introduction

The film begins with this scene: a large group of cattle coming from ancient times towards modern civilization. But their fate was to be brutally massacred. The protagonist Han-wung became self-isolated after witnessing this brutal destruction, and his mind was isolated from the outside world.

He was fascinated by the vague shadow of a woman in his heart.

In the process of trying to find the hesitation in his heart, he met many natural spirits who appeared in the form of women. They groaned in pain in the face of nature that was gradually being destroyed by humans in the name of civilization and progress.

This sight made Han-wung gradually recall his dead mother. He and his mother, an atomic bomb victim, once lived in a dark attic. When Han-wung witnessed for the first time on the horizon, the natural spirits representing the 12 natural elements slowly merged into one, he was deeply shocked. But every subsequent meeting with the elves, he found that their faces became more and more painful, as if they were undergoing increasingly cruel torture.

Nude group scene sets world record

This year, Korean filmmakers released a work full of morals, intended to warn humans not to wantonly destroy our existing environment. But when it appeared in front of the public, all eyes had no time to take into account this so-called theme - the shocking group nude scene starring 825 actors in the film not only became a hot news focus, but also created a world record.

The movie "Mago" was released in South Korea in May. With the many naked bodies covered in mud and filth in the film, the film has already received endless attention. focus on. Although this film has an obscure and sharp background and draws on Korean mythology, it only needs those shots to show the experience of a man who fell from heaven in the filthy modern civilization, and it is not a pornographic work. However, the news that 825 extras, including 12 young female college students, were used to star in nude scenes spread. From the day the film started shooting on May 24 last year, this low-cost production became the focus of the film. Nudity scenes caused a huge stir in a country where nudity is extremely sensitive.

"825 extras and other characters are all naked! Shocking! Shocking!" A tabloid called "Chosun Entertainment Daily" used the method of reporting yellow news to clamor to the public with this huge headline.

In this 80-minute film, most of the content is conveyed by the actors' naked body language, with only a small amount of poetic monologues interspersed. However, the film's producers said the media clearly missed the point of the film's actual message. The screenwriter of the film said in a recent interview: "This film is to compare the life in paradise when life originated in mythology with the increasingly destructive life of modern civilization. Our purpose is simply to use naked The body expresses the purity of life from the beginning of creation."

Facing the judges and parents difficultly

Producer Kang Byung-soo once thought that the media's attention might help them publicize. This obscure art film - "Magu". But maybe he was disappointed. The 53-year-old chairman of Seoul's RMJC production company said unhappily: "I don't like that the domestic media always focus on the nudity issue in the film. We want to show the appearance of the beginning of the human world. That The living beings of the time should be shown naked. We did not use the nude scene as an attractive gimmick for so-called commercial purposes."

This movie invested 2.7 billion won. It can be said that it took a lot of trouble to obtain the release permission from the relevant censorship agencies. After numerous pre-reviews and discussions, this film that might have been banned due to too many nudity scenes was finally designated as "18-ban" and won the right to be released.

The heroine of this film, Choi Young-hee, is still a college student. She said that it was very difficult to convince her parents and friends to agree to join the film. "My parents and friends were very surprised by my idea and strongly disapproved of it. But after they understood the theme of the film, they gradually understood my choice." She said.

When 46-year-old director Kang Hyun-il talked about the sensitive topic of nudity, he said, "Whether a movie is art or cultural garbage depends on the artistic conscience of the person responsible for the movie. So I I'm not worried about that much. Maybe fans were attracted to the theater to watch the film because of the nudity, but after watching it, they will definitely agree that this film is a truly serious piece of art. ”

Regarding the details, he explained that this complex multimedia film was shot with six camera positions. In addition to the three lenses visible on the DVD version of the film, there is a 35mm lens, a 3D lens and a still lens. "The actors have to repeat a scene over and over again until the cameraman is satisfied with all the shots before they can move on to the next one," he said. Although Kang Hyun-il has the same surname as producer Kang Byung-soo, they are not related in any way.
