Poly's logo P, which takes the meaning of the English "PLA" (abbreviation of the People's Liberation Army of China), "POLY" and "POWER", is a deformed English letter P, designed by Lai Weiwu and Wang Xiaochao in 1987 , symbolizing the fist, representing confidence and strength. The space in the P center means grasping the present and looking to the future. On the occasion of the tenth anniversary celebration of Poly Company in 1993, General Manager He Ping invited calligrapher Mr. Qi Gong to write "China Poly Group Company" in both simplified and traditional Chinese versions. In November 1994, Poly Company officially registered the two trademarks "P" and "Poly" and obtained the trademark certificate issued by the State Administration for Industry and Commerce.
