There are 211 world heritages in 38 countries in Asia and Oceania, and Jerusalem * * *, where the ownership is uncertain (including one transnational heritage), including 156 cultural heritages, 44 natural heritages and 11 dual cultural and natural heritages. In this list, C stands for cultural heritage, N stands for natural heritage and nc stands for dual heritage. The ranking order of countries and regions refers to the ranking order in the official UNESCO World Heritage List, which is basically arranged according to the initial letters of English names of countries or regions (considering the tradition of Chinese materials, China is listed first in this list); Heritage projects in a country or region are arranged according to the chronological order in which the projects are listed in the World Heritage List (because the arrangement order of the official list changes from time to time, it is not necessarily exactly the same as the current official list).
Note:
1. The definition of Asian countries adopts the convention of Chinese mainland. Some of these countries, such as Cyprus and Turkey, are sometimes considered as European countries.
2. This list includes the heritage projects owned by Asian countries that are not geographically located in Asia (such as the Turkish heritage project historic areas of istanbul), but does not include the heritage projects that are geographically located in Asia (such as some Russian heritage projects) owned by countries that are generally not considered as Asian countries.
3. This list also excludes the heritage projects owned by countries outside Asia and Oceania located in their territories in Asia or Oceania (such as Henderson Island, a heritage project located in pitcairn islands, a British territory).
