Kweichow Moutai Group’s series of wines include: Kweichow Daqu, Huamao, Elvis, Laimao, Hanjiang, etc.
1. Guizhou Daqu
Guizhou Daqu originated from Hongliang Cellar Wine in the 1960s. At that time, the masters of Maotai Distillery developed Hongliangjiao Liquor in the process of constantly summarizing and improving the sauce-flavor brewing process. At first, only a small amount of red cellar wine was supplied to sugar and wine companies. However, its excellent quality and affordable price immediately made it famous among drinkers.
2. Huamao Wine
Huajiao Wine began in 1860 with Chengyi Shaofang founded by Huajia in Maotai Town. In 1944, Hualian Huizhi Sun Hua Wenqu expanded its business scale with an annual output of 21,000 kilograms, and its wine was commonly known as Huamao. In 1952, Elvis Fenjiu, Huamao Fenjiu and Lai Maofen Liquor were nationalized and listed as shares of Kweichow Moutai. Moutai Group restarted the Huamao brand in 2018. In 2019, Huamao Liquor was produced by Kweichow Moutai Co., Ltd. and officially launched on the market.
3. Wang Maojiu
Wang Maojiu began in 1879 with the Rongtai Shaojiu House opened by Shi Rongxiao, Sun Quantai and Wang Lifu. Later, the equity interests of Rongtai and Shaofang changed, leaving only Wang Zesheng, a descendant of Wang Rong, as a shareholder. The wine produced by Shaofang was called Wangmao wine. In 1952, Elvis Fenjiu, Huamao Fenjiu and Lai Maofen Liquor were nationalized and listed as shares of Kweichow Moutai. Moutai Group restarted the Elvis Presley brand in 2018 and officially launched it on the market.
4. Laimao Liquor
Laijiu started from Hengchang Shaofang founded by Zhou Bingheng in 1929. It was later taken over by Guiyang Lai Yongchu and renamed Laimao. In 1952, Elvis Fenjiu, Huamao Fenjiu and Lai Maofen Liquor were nationalized and listed as shares of Kweichow Moutai. In 2014, Moutai restarted the Laimao brand and officially launched it in 2015. At present, Laimao's products mainly include several series such as Chuanxi, Duanqu, Zhongsha, and Chuanxi. , and the wine bottle also has a wine label with historical text engraved on it.
5. Chinese Maotai-flavor wine
Hanjiang was first launched by Xijiu Company in June 2005. By May 2011, Kweichow Moutai Co., Ltd. took over the Hanjiang sauce, and the Moutai version of Hanjiang sauce was officially launched. The first 51-degree Maotai-flavor wine not only ensures the sauce aroma but also gives a softer taste. Unlike the traditional Maojiu style, it takes a softer approach.
