The Austrian Patent Office accepts trademark applications. The applicant submits the prepared application documents to the Austrian Patent Office. The Austrian Patent Office will determine the registrability and legal compliance of the trademark. During the examination, if problems are found in the trademark application documents, the Austrian Patent Office will notify the applicant, and the applicant must respond to the questions and submit comments within 2 months after receiving the notification. Trademarks that pass the review will be granted an application date and application number, and will be published in the official announcement. During the announcement period, anyone can file an objection to the trademark. Trademarks with no objections or objections that are not established will be approved for registration. During this period, if the applicant has objections to the decision of the Austrian Patent Office, he or she can appeal to the appeals department, up to and including the Administrative Court.
