From 1987 to 2001, Founder Rice was used as a special food for the Thirteenth National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the National Science and Technology Conference, and the Beijing Universiade. In 1999, Fangzheng County was awarded the "Hometown of Selenium-Rich Rice in China" by the state. In March 2005, Founder Rice, with its unique quality and good growing environment, successfully passed the evaluation of national origin product protection experts and became the third rice origin protection product in the country after Panjin, Liaoning and Wuchang, Heilongjiang.
In early 2014, the Trademark Office of the State Administration for Industry and Commerce and the Trademark Review and Adjudication Board approved the "Fangzheng Rice" geographical indication certification trademark as a well-known trademark in China.
