LEVI’S is one of the most famous names from the western United States. It is also the name of Levi Strauss, the inventor of the world's first pair of jeans.
Levi Strauss immigrated to New York from Germany in 1847 when he was seventeen years old. Speaking almost no English, he spent his first few years in the United States working for his two older brothers. He sells fabrics and household items everywhere in remote towns and villages around New York and KFC. He sometimes even sleeps on the roadside or in an empty garage.
The news of the California Gold Rush fascinated the young Strauss, and he took a ship to San Francisco in 1853.
He brought several rolls of canvas for tents and caravans to sell to the rapidly increasing number of residents. But he found a better use for canvas when an old gold digger said he should sell trousers that could withstand the rough use of gold digging.
So he sent the unsold canvas to a tailor and ordered the first pair of Levi’s jeans. On that day, the legend of Levi’sR was born.
People spread the word about these tough jeans. The young Strauss soon opened his first store in San Francisco. He makes many waist-length leggings. Later, he abandoned canvas and switched to denim, a strong cotton fabric woven in France with color-fast indigo dye.
Strauss made many improvements to the original design from 1860 to 1940, including rivets, an arched double horse guarantee leather label and a small back pocket flag, which are now world-famous. Authentic Levi's jeans logo.
The Levi Strauss Company has indeed become an American tradition. To people all over the world, it represents the pioneering power and spirit of the West.
Levi’s logo:
Rivets
The original function is to nail metal. Since 1837, it has become an integral part of all Levi's?0?3 jeans. Cowboys found the rivets uncomfortable when warming themselves in front of a campfire, so Levi's began replacing rivets with corner seams in 1937.
Buttons
Do you know when the six buttons on Levi's 0?3 jeans were replaced by zippers? In 1942, the U.S. Government Regulation Department stipulated that the two buttons on the back of all Levi's 0?3 jeans should be removed. Now, except for the 501 model, the button design is retained. Levi's?0?3 buttons will never rust.
Pants pocket
A pocket for gold nuggets. The pants pocket of Levi's?0?3 was originally designed for gold miners to carry gold nuggets during the California Gold Rush in the 1850s. The 5-pocket design has become a standard feature of Levi's?0?3 blue jeans. It has been sewn for hundreds of years and is still strong, durable and comfortable. Corner seams
are seam points used to enhance the structure of Levi's?0?3 jeans. They were especially valuable in 1937 when rivets on the back pockets were replaced with corner seams. Since then, it has been used as a reinforced fixing point for the corners of pockets, front panels of trousers, belt ears and zippers.
Zip
It did not appear until 1950. Before that, it was button-up pants everywhere. Modern industry produced zippers, which revolutionized the wearing of jeans. Now, Levi's?0?3 products use the most durable and stylish zippers.
Sewing
It only takes 10 minutes to sew a pair of jeans that will last a lifetime. Levi's?0?3 jeans manufacturers around the world use the strongest sewing threads, the best handwork and production lines to produce jeans that last a lifetime.
Small flag
This is the earliest launch of Levi's?0?3.
It became the mark of authentic Levi's?0?3 jeans in 1936
