After the UK leaves the EU, can the trademark originally applied for in the EU be transferred? What is the date of application?

Hello, on 1 January 2021, the IPO will create a comparable UK trade mark for each registered EU trade mark (EUTM). Each of these UK rights will:

1. Be recorded on the UK Trade Marks Register

2. Have the same legal status as if you applied for and registered it under UK law Status

·3. Retain the original EUTM application date

·4. Retain the original priority or UK qualification date

·5. Be a fully independent UK trade mark , can be challenged, transferred, licensed or renewed separately from the original EUTM

So, your trademark can be transferred and updated to the UK simultaneously according to the registration time of the EU trademark application
