The "Zhongjiang Noodles" trademark applied by the Zhongjiang County Handmade Noodles Association took 6 years to be approved and registered as a geographical indication certification trademark recently (2008). This is the first successfully registered geographical indication trademark in Deyang City. .

Because Zhongjiang noodles require special water quality, they are only produced by more than 300 families in 11 towns and villages in the upper reaches of Kaijiang River, with an annual output of 3 million kilograms. After successful registration, the standards and protection basis will be re-identified. The right to use its trademark is managed by the Zhongjiang County Handmade Noodles Association. All companies authorized to use the "Zhongjiang Noodles" trademark must use uniform outer packaging for their products.
