3, Lucida family: Lucida Grande is the standard font of Mac OS UI, which belongs to humanistic style and is a bit lively. The display under Mac is better than under Win.
4.Verdana: The font specially designed for screen display, humanistic style and small font size can still be clearly displayed, but the font details are seriously missing, so it is best not to be a title.
5.Tahoma: It is also a humanistic style. The font is a bit like Verdana, but slightly narrower and the counter is slightly smaller. It used to be the standard font of Windows, and it was also installed by default after Mac 10.5.
Trebuchet MS: a humanistic font designed for Microsoft. Personally, I feel that my personality is too prominent, so if I don't use it well, I won't match it.
6. Georgia: The serif font that is basically suitable for text screen display is Georgia. The strokes are heavy, the serif is bright, the outline is large, the small font is clear, and the details are OK.
7. The Times: The Times is designed for newspapers. Its characteristics are that more words can be crammed into the limited space, the strokes are weak, and the screen display of small font characters looks very tired. When modifying Engadget, use Times as the text. After being severely scolded, it was replaced by Georgia.
8. Avenir is simple and modern, although it also has geometric features, but it does not lose human touch. Avenir means the future in French, which is a challenge to Futura and has the same future significance. Enlarging the height of X and lengthening the descending part will obviously improve the readability of the text. The font series is also complete. Say another word, Helvetica. When sharing internally, many designers asked why it was not listed as a recommended font here. On the one hand, because Helvetica is widely used as a classic font in modern fonts, there is no lack of attention. On the other hand, Helvetica is a new grotesque font, which has a rigorous structure, no emotional orientation and provides a strong sense of security. It doesn't seem to be wrong to use. This is both an advantage and a disadvantage. When our design has a clear audience or the design object has a clear temperament, it will be a better choice to find a font with the same temperament.
