The competition rules of the Chinese Men’s Basketball Professional League (CBA):
1. Use a 4×12 minute game format , including a 2-minute break between the 1st and 2nd quarters and the 3rd and 4th quarters; a 10-minute break between the 2nd and 3rd quarters.
2. A player who has committed 6 personal fouls and/or technical fouls must leave the game immediately.
3. When a team has committed 5 team fouls in a quarter, the team is in a team foul penalty state.
4. Each team will add a 30-second short timeout in the 4th quarter and the last 2 minutes of each decisive period.
5. After a basket is made and after the team that has the right to throw-in the ball in the last 2 minutes of the 4th quarter and the final period requests a timeout, the throw-in will be executed at the "throw-in line" Play resumes at the end line (except for throw-ins that should have been at the frontcourt end line).
