Luffa, also known as loofah tendon, is processed after the loofah is grown. Xinpu loofah is famous for its whiteness, large size, straightness and firmness. Luffa has been planted in Xinpu Town for more than a hundred years. Legend has it that people who were in the medicinal business in the past brought luffa seeds from Indonesia to plant and multiply them. In the past, farmers could plant it freely, but due to traditional planting habits and techniques, areas were relatively concentrated.
