Xinghua Village Fenjiu, also known as "Laobai Fenjiu", was named after it was produced in Xinghua Village, Fenyang City, Shanxi Province. Xinghua Village is a famous wine capital in China, located on the north side of Taifen Highway, at 15km north of Fenyang City and 90km away from Taiyuan, the provincial capital. Shanxi Xinghua village wine is famous for its clarity, purity, aroma, alcohol and sweetness. Fen-flavor liquor has a unique style and has become a typical representative of Fen-flavor liquor. Since 1953, it has been successively rated as one of the "Eight Famous Wines" and "Eighteen Famous Wines" in China.

When the name of Fenjiu originated remains to be further verified, but as early as 140 years ago, the name of Fenjiu already existed here. Of course, 1400 years ago, there was no distilled liquor in China. "Fenjiu" and "Dry Brewing" recorded in historical materials are all yellow wine, and China liquor, including Fenjiu and other famous wines, evolved from yellow wine.
